Should we wait to update until the server maintenance is done?

I updated still can't play screen still says server maintenance-try again later

Same I updated as requested when I opened the game manager. I do not think it should generate any trouble.... I hope

Is this update for PC? Is there one for iOS?
ETA - I see there is a new version in iTunes dated 25th October.

I downloaded the update, but it now wants to know which server to connect to. I chose Production, but it said it was down for maintenance. I really don't think it should be prompting me to choose a server. I'll post this info in the technical issues thread.

I, too, have been getting the server maintenance message all day, even after updating the game. I think we should have been told about this, as we were on Oct. 1. I get tired of going to the game, getting the same message, and then having to bring up the task manager to get out of the game.

You can just hit Esc (escape) it will take you out of the game screen.

I was just able to get in by clicking on the "production" button. There's a huge spider on the manor!!!
There are decorations elsewhere as well. Looks like there are also 24 hour package sales. Looks cool so far

What the? Links to the QA, staging server and other non-production servers right there on the main screen for public users to see?
I think we're getting another update soon. That is something you do not want in production, and somebody's probably in trouble...

Oh undoubtedly. Big oopsie on the dev's part, and big oopsie on BFG's part for not looking at it before they pushed it out...
