If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to Midnight Castle Help. I just gifted the last person I could gift today, and the game froze on "Please wait". My gift was given, but I didn't get the "Thank You" card.
I hope this isn't going to be one of those glitches that will come up from time to time...

I downloaded this game on January 2 and when I went to play it the next day it started with the fish splash screen then gave me an error saying "No connection" " unable to connect to the server". It was using the game cursor and frame to show the error, not a windows frame. I have no problem with any of my other games at all. I tried uninstalling, downloading and re-installing again but it keeps giving me the same error. Any suggestions? I have other free to play games that work just fine. Iam on a PC with Windows XP.

Yes, exactly the same thing happened to me for the 3rd time now.
Other than that the game many times stops me saying can't reach server and sometimes take a few moments to be able to play again (not being able to play disconnected at all!!) I do not have internet access issues. The game seems to think so though.
Oh another thing is that whenever I collect 5 flowers usually it drops 10 coins (or a diamond in very few cases) but sometimes the money doesn't drop and I'm not credited for it. I think some people might get upset about this, I tend to not get upset about glitches such as this. But having to restart my computer or close the game through my computer's task manager when I try to gift someone while gift is sent yet game is stuck for me and no thank you card? Yeah, that does upset me a little...

Just happened again. Quest from Innkeeper Salty. Needed 8 pointed star. Crypt location?, Was awarded the 8 pointed star. Was not awarded. not in inventory nor on the Bear with Armor count.
Could it be because there are several running quests that need the same items/locations played?
That was the issue last night. 2 or 3 quests needed me to explore the same HOS location for items. That's why I purchased crystals, to complete them faster than waiting 30 minutes each.

I just saw that there is an updated version for this game. It's on my GM. But since a mod hasn't yet said what it's for, and since this is still the beta version, and since I have no problems at all with the game - except the once when the game froze when I gifted someone and didn't get my "Thank You" card - I won't install this updated version just yet.

Not a "technical" issue as such, but was just made aware of this boo-boo:
There is a Snow Griffin, but no Snow Griffin food.
There is Iron Griffin food, but no Iron Griffin.
The Iron Griffin food is for the Snow Griffin !!
I am wondering whether the devs noticed this and corrected this in their updated version? Will wait and see what a mod says - when she eventually crawls out of bed and looks bleary-eyed at her monitor.

I just installed the new update and my game continued exactly where I left it, nothing changed apart for the fact that I was able to send all gifts and get the thank you cards (although I noticed it usually fails after midnight so I'll try again tonight) but I have a good feeling as I just played the game for around half an hour and not once did it stop me with connecting to server problems - first time it doesn't do it so whatever the update does - it works. Thank you BFG people and devs - you're great!

I installed the update, and the Snow Griffin is still getting food for the Iron Griffin. The devs want to change that to either Snow Griffin food or Iron Griffin. My guess is they couldn't make up their minds what to call this griffin. LOL
Anyway, I see no difference in the updated version, but then again I never had any problems. Still want to know what has been changed, so I am looking forward to see a thread from a mod.

This happened to me only once, quite early into the game, in the previous version, LynthePin. Thank goodness, it never happened again after that.
But, just like "Antique Road Trip" does it from time to time, with this game I quite often got the "can't find connection" message. I do hope that this new version has taken care of it.
