"Squidward" (he he), I actually still use both IE and Firefox, the only time I use Firefox is for downloading. Only the games I downloaded to my external drive PLAY from the external drive, the others on my internal hard drive aren't affected in the least! And no, they don't run ANY slower than those on my C: drive. In fact, I'm playing HE Amazon from the external drive. Anything you have copied over (rather than downloading directly) can be played from the external drive, but you won't be able to use your desktop icon to get to them, you have to go into "My Computer", then to the external drive (usually E , then find the correct icon in the corresponding file for the game. TRUST me, it works great! Just use Firefox for downloading only, and be sure to set your external drive as the default download drive, and you won't even notice a difference!

This sounds as if it would be a good option for me. I have had 2 crashes in the last few months and I lost all my games. Big Fish were so kind allowing me to d/l the ones where I had used my limit! (Because of these crashes)
I will contact my SIL who builds my computers for me, and suss that out
You say that you copy the games over? Can you give me more details on doing this please. I'm computer savvy in most things but want to make sure I know what I'm doing.
TIA... Patti

Thank you Gina I'll get my SIL to help me with this.
I won't be seeing him until the 7th July (My great-grand-daughter's 1st birthday)
I have copied off your replies to refer to.
