stuck on level

Help bought a cd-rom with triple pack one being shattered minds:masquerade. First game mystery chronicles worked ok, got to this game and cannot seem to move. I am on the part where there is a door man outside of the building. The cursor is not letting me go into anything and when I click on hint it just says nothing to do yet in this part, but it will not let me go back to the other level.
