Why are some games removed?

[Post New]by Calsha on Jun 27, 08 1:08 AM
Perhaps bfgAegean can answer this for me.
I have been buying games from Big Fish since well before the new setup, When we downloaded an exe file and were given reg codes that were OK for 5 times.
I see by the list of Forums available that several of my "old" games have been removed, though one of them is still in my purchase history..
Do they get removed because of glitchs, bugs or whatever?

It's no big deal but just curious.

Hi Calsha, I can answer that question for you. The designers felt that having thousands of Game Forums listed on the All Game Forums page was a little overwhelming. So, we shortened the list of Game Forums to just the most recently released games on our website.

Good afternoon, I learned the hard way that some games have been removed.
Trival Pursuit is no longer offered here, along with Smiles Fortune Hunters, and a number of others. I learned that they were gone, when I went redownload them onto my new computer. I contacted support and worked with me to get them back and when I couldn't, I settled for replacement games. Jewel Jones I really liked but I never got to play it.

Hey grannylover, I lost Trivial Pursuit too when I got a new computer, they didn't even have it in my purchase history any longer.

When I informed support they gave me a replacement. Did they give you one?

yes, I got several replacement credits.
I find the support team very helpful. This was not a complaint, I understand why it is done, but unfortunately one of the games was my disabled hubby's favourite

He is not into HO or sim but enjoys word games. WordJong was removed, but I found "Great Wall of Words" for him and he is quite happy playing that for hours....TV and the computer are the only acvtivities he is able to do.

As for my own gaming preferences I enjoy most games, even have a few kids games for fun. I can't sit for long times, being a full time carer for Ken as well as chief cook and bottle washer and gardener.

It's good being able to talk in this forum, what a good job the Big Fish have done

Nope, they said they simply didn't have any record of it. Never had a problem playing it on my old computer though.

I LOVE BFG's support team! I've only had excellent service with them. So, kudo's and kisses to the support team!

Some of the guys are really nice. While one was helping me with froggy's adventures, he told me how to cut and paste pictures so I can post them on other forums.

I think these ghost threads are funny As long as it's not the ones stirring things up

This is true. It just seems to be happening a lot lately. Must be the re-design to the forums that's in-progress.

I find the all game forums really overwhelming, but for a different reason.
If I am stuck and look for an answer or a hint, there is no rhyme or reason to the set-up.

Would it be possible to set up the forum as you do the walkthroughs, by general
and chapters and ask fishies to post accordingly, then there would not be 10 different posts for the same problem and also posting by game title only QQQ (sorry, lost my questionmark).

I think that would make the game forums shorter and easier to navigate, perhaps leaving some space for older games.

I don't think you can regulate most game posters when they're frustrated. Otherwise, they'd take a minute to check to see if their question has already been asked and answered, which most of them don't do.
