Complete Walkthrough

[Post New]by TMGamer99 on Mar 9, 14 11:00 AM
This is my first walkthrough, put together from notes whilst playing. Hopefully some will find it useful. Please let me know if there are any errors and I will correct.

General Notes and Tips.
- If the game launches in a window, hold down the Alt key and then press Enter. This should change it to be full screen.
- Your current location is displayed at the bottom right of the menu screen, above the timer.
- There are 4 save slots in this game and I recommend saving often, changing slots after each section of the game.
- If you follow this walkthrough, you will be wearing the correct outfit, but if just using it for a reference, please remember that in order to push boulders or jump, you need to be wearing the Adventurer’s Jacket.
- It is best to aim to kill all monsters on every screen you visit. This walkthrough will take you through the path you need, but you should also explore other paths.

1. Cat in the Sewers.
Choose to play with the Mouse or Keyboard. There have been some issues reported when playing with the mouse. This guide will assume the keyboard is being used.

You play the heroine, “Kwiapy”. After some initial dialogue, you are asked if you wish to read the game instructions. At this point I accessed the menu (Escape), chose System and changed the Automatic Dash setting to “Auto”.

Open the chest and then follow the path to the next screen. Open the chest and then follow the path down. Follow the bridges to the right, walk up and then to the left. Open the chest and walk up. Before you exit the screen, you are asked if you would like to save. Do this. You meet some bandits who have stolen the cat and will fight you for it. You should be able to beat them easily, but if you need to, you have a Refresh skill, that will heal you. The boy gets his cat back and you automatically exit the sewers.

2. Home.
You are in the city of Amandine and need to return to the palace. Walk up and then left, to the next screen. Follow the path left and up until you are in front of what looks like a church. Now walk right and up until you see two sets of steps. Take the ones on the right. Then continue up to the wide steps, which lead to the palace. After a short conversation with Binearh (in which we discover your name is actually Princess Calliope), head up the red steps and go left and up the grey staircase to the next floor. Enter the first door, the King’s bedroom.

3. Getting the Medicine.
You must get some Pepperwood from the doctor. Exit the bedroom and speak to Binearh. Enter the third door to your own bedroom and click on the sparkling bed (or use Enter / Spacebar). Rest, which will heal you. Head back out of the palace and back towards the sewers, where you started. Unfortunately, there are now some soldiers blocking your way. Speak to them and you discover you are able to change clothes.

Enter the garden above you and make your way to the washing line, on the left. Select the sparkling items and take the peasant clothes. In your Items list, you now have “Peasant Rags” and “Princess’ Gown”. Change into the Peasant Rags by selecting them and your appearance will change. Go back and speak to the Soldiers, who now let you pass.
Take the first path down and then down some steps. Now walk right as far as you can and then up to a pink house. Enter and speak to the doctor, who will give you the Pepperwood Salve, which is added to your inventory.
Walk back to the soldiers. Change back into the Princess’ Gown and speak to them again.

Go back to the palace and the King’s bedroom. Speak to your uncle, who gives the King the medicine. After an earthquake and the resulting conversation, leave the bedroom. You overhear your father and uncle talking and decide to take on the quest yourself.
You need something from your bedroom, so head back there. Select the sparkling wardrobe and take the Adventurer’s Outfit. The Adventurer’s Jacket enables you to jump, push boulders and unlock doors.
After a conversation with Binearh, he joins your party.

4. Investigate the Abyssal Palace.
Exit the palace and head back to the church. Walk down, but this time, walk left and down, until you exit the screen to the world map. Follow the path down to the tower, which is the Abyssal Palace. Open the chest and then attempt to walk through the grey doors. Once through, walk directly ahead. You meet Ymra, an Aerfae, who tells you about The Rising. She merges with Calliope, who learns the Aerfae Bless skill.
Go back to the King’s bedroom and speak to your uncle.

5. Meet the Ministers.
You need to go to Tidecrest and speak to the Ministers. Head back to the world map. Walk left and then follow the path down until you see 4 houses. This is Tidecrest.

Enter the village. Walk down, left and down and then enter the house immediately above a white house with a blue roof. This is the Meeting Hall. Change into the Adventurer’s Jacket and speak to the soldier blocking your way. He tells you he wants a bottle of Springwine. Exit and head next-door, to the pub (with flags on the roof). Speak to the man behind the bar, who sells you the bottle of wine. (If you have a problem speaking to the barman, try using the keyboard and Enter once you are in front of him). Go back to the soldier and give him the wine. He gets out of your way, walk towards the Ministers.
After some dialogue, exit the Meeting House and return to the pub. As soon as you enter, you get drawn into a fight with the “Bearded Man” against 4 soldiers.

6. Escaping the Cascade Caverns.
After winning the fight, you are taken prisoner in some caves.
Go to the spiked gate and open it (you need to still be wearing the Adventurer’s Jacket). Unlock the doors for Binearh’s and Killian’s cells; talk to them and they join the party. You are not currently able to get into the room with all the chests. Exit the screen by walking up and left.

Work your way down, left and up until you come to a boulder. Push it out of the way and continue to exit to the next screen.
Take the second path up. Open the 9 chests in the rooms up and down. Pass the boulder and then go up and open the 7 chests. Pass the second boulder, work your way around to the next boulder and take the top exit.
To the left, there are just monsters to fight. Work your way to the right and go through the exit.

Work your way to the right until you come to a lake with some waterfalls. Walk to the stepping stone and jump to the right 3 times by pressing Enter. Jump down twice and open the chest. Go back to the middle stepping stone and then jump up twice and use the top exit.

Walk up to the lake, below the stepping stone, jump up twice and open the chest. Walk right, to the water, one step down from the wall, and jump to the right to get to the other chest. Jump back to where you started from and then walk down to the lower stepping stone. Jump left twice and then twice more to cross the next one. Walk left and up to the middle of the larger bit of land and press Enter. Calliope will say “Uh boy…”, take a long run-up and land by the top exit. Walk through it.

Go up the steps, walk up and then right, to cross a bridge. Walk around to another small bridge, just before the exit and heal up before fighting the Commander. You receive a Treasure Key, so you can go all the way back to the cells and get the coins in the 15 chests you didn’t have access to before. The enemies you have killed will stay dead until you exit the cave system.

Exit the cave, onto the World Map and follow the path back up to Tidecrest.
Visit the store if you wish and then go and speak to the Minister of Magic (guy in blue) by the piers. After some dialogue, you need to speak to him again to set sail.

7. Ata’s Village.
You are shipwrecked and wash ashore on Ata’s beach, who is not best pleased. In the end, Ata joins your party and you must head for her village. Exit left onto the World Map and remember the location of the beach. Follow the path to the northwest and you will see six houses, this is Rhua Abunga, Ata’s village.
The first house contains a sparkling bed, which allows you to rest.
There is a man wandering around this area who will sell you supplies. If you don’t have any, a few Bewell Beans could come in handy.
Below the second house, there is a man by a stone oven. He will sell you weapons and armour.
By the third house, a man will sell you buttons. The best ones are the Lucky Buttons , as they will double the XP you gain from battle and allow you to level-up faster. I recommend buying four and equipping each character with one (in the Accessory slot).
The leftmost house is the chieftain’s. Enter it and talk to the guy in your way.
The chief tells you to get him a flower from Moonscar Marsh.

Optional Areas.
There are 2 areas on this World map that can be used for increasing your level and collecting power-ups and money. The first is next Rakasha Cave, next to Fort Highwind in the northeast of the map; the second is Rakasha Forest, shown as a sparkling tree next to Oxskull Mountain. These are not covered in this walkthrough and aren’t necessary to complete the game. If you decide to embark on these, you will need to experiment to find when you are strong enough.

8. Moonscar Marsh.
Exit the village and follow the path to the left and then down to the dark green area. This is the marsh. The brown patches are jump points. There are numerous chests in this area to find; the large ones contain coins, the small ones have various potions.
To find the flower: Walk down from the entrance and jump across the two small islands. Walk right and down and at the tree, walk down. Take the left branch (with the tree) and then jump to the left. The sparkling light is the flower.

When you’ve finished in this area, exit the marsh and return to Ata’s village. Speak to the guard in front of the Chieftain’s hut. You give him the flower and he gives you a new outfit: Barbarian Skins. Change into the Barbarian Skins, as the chief will only speak to you when wearing them. Enter the hut and speak to the chief.

You discover that Calliope’s necklace is missing and must head back to the beach to look for it. On the way out of the village, you can take the opportunity to rest in the hut nearest the exit.
When you get back to the beach, you see a boy. Speak to him and he tells you that a bird flew off with your necklace. Before you can go after it, some soldiers appear and capture you.

9. Forthelm.
After some dialogue, you are left in the Guard Station. Collect the sparkling Shattershield Key from the desk and go up the ladder into Fort Shattershield Academy.

Walk to the left and when you get to about halfway across, Lady Ryanna appears. You evade her by hiding in a suit of armour. Continue to the left and take the corridor down and into the first room on the right. Click on the sparkling chest of drawers to collect the Soldier’s Suit. Change into the Soldier’s Suit. Continue down the corridor, through the room and down again. Turn right and then take the exit down, into Forthelm.

Walk straight down between two houses. In the one on the right, you can buy supplies and upgrade your weapons and armour. You will have to fight with only two characters for the next section, so it is worth upgrading their equipment. Continue down and onto the World Map.

10. Fort Highwind.
Follow the path up to the tower, this is Fort Highwind.
Follow the Transfer Corridor around to the exit at the top, leading to the Holding Cells.
Walk right and then through the door in the top left-hand corner, into Minimum Security.
Work your way around the cells, opening them as you go to get to the chests. Exit top left to Cell Block A.
Open the cell to get to the small chest and then go up the ladder in the lower right corner, to General Population.
Work your way around the cells, opening the cells and chests as you go. Exit top left, to Solitary.

You now have to fight the Sentinel, who is quite tough. Go through the doors to the Special Cell and free Killian and Ata.
Retrace your steps to the Main Floor entrance, where you must defeat another Sentinel. But you have four fighters this time. He is susceptible to poison.
Exit the fort and return to Ata’s village.

11. Oxskull Mountain.
Change into the Barbarian Skins and go and speak to the Chief in his hut.
Rest up and then exit the village. To the left are some sparkling mountains. This is your next destination, Oxskull Mountain. You may want to return to Forthelm to upgrade Ata and Killian’s equipment.

Change into the Adventurer’s Jacket.
Enter the cave. To the right is a chest, exit top left.
Walk up and open the large chest, then go up and right to open the small chest. Walk left to get the small chest. Walk back, then down and left to get the small chest. Continue down, then left and down for the small chest. Continue left, then up for the 2 chests. Walk down and to the right. Continue down and jump over to the large chest. Walk up for the large chest, then right for another large chest. The southwest path leads to another large chest, then take the southeast path to the doorway.
Open the large chest and small chest, then cross the bridge to the exit.
Cross the bridge, go up three sets of steps and then into a cave passage.
Go up the steps and out again. Save and heal up.
Climb the steps and go up to the bird and press Enter. This will trigger a fight.

Note: There is a bug which prevents you from continuing with your quest if you win the fight too early. In order to prevent the bug, choose the Guard option for the first 3 rounds, then the bird will change into
Ygra. Then continue choosing Guard until Ygra says “Fuaaah! You’re tougher than you look! But don’t underestimate me!” Then start fighting.

Once you’re victorious, Ygra joins Ata, who now has the Aerfae Protection skill.
Go down the steps and touch the purple crystal to light it. Now retrace your path out of Oxskull Mountain.

12. Honeygate
Stop off at Ata’s village to rest. Follow the path back to the beach, (maybe stopping off in Forthelm for equipment upgrades) then keep following it down and to the left, until you see one house between a lake and the mountains. This is Honeygate.
Enter the large house on the left by walking all the way around it. Go up, into the bedroom and press Enter in front of the sparkling dresser.
You now need to find the drawer key.

Exit the house and walk back around it, then head up to the top of the screen and go into the field on the right. Speak to the farmer. You discover someone has been stealing girls! Make your way to the other side of the lake and enter the small Supply Shed.
Go down the steps in the top left corner.

13. Honeygate Sewers.
Walk to the gap by either statue, jump over and walk through the arch into the Mouldering Chamber.
Walk up as far as you can, then jump over to the passage on your left, which takes you to the Vacant Hall.
Walk all the way to the left and follow the passage down, to the exit at the bottom, to the left part of the Staid Gate.
Take the right-hand passage down and flick the lever at the bottom. Make your way back to the Mouldering Chamber.
Walk back down and take the second passage to the right (the first is a dead-end). Jump over the water, then continue up and to the right, into the Ancient Hall.

Walk right and take the second passage down. There is a metal chest here, but I do not know how to get into it. Jump over the water and continue down, to the right part of the Staid Gate.
Jump over the water and take the left passage down. Before moving on to the next screen, you should save and heal up, ready for a fight.

You discover Markus and all the girls he has taken. He turns into Eblis and you fight him. He is susceptible to Poison, Confusion and Armor Crush.
After the fight, you find yourself outside the Supply Shed. Return to the house and speak to Magda, the girl inside. She gives you the key to her dresser, so go and release Ympa. She hitches a ride with Killian, who gains the Aerfae Might skill.
Exit the house and touch the crystal outside.

14. Etherwisp.
Exit Honeygate to the World Map and follow the path down. You will see Etherwisp, your next destination, to the left.
Enter Etherwisp and follow the path up and to the right. The house by itself sells supplies and weapons. So, if you can afford it, upgrade your equipment.
Take either path up and enter the large building, Eldergloam Manor.
Walk up and speak to the Mystic. Go through the door, into the Corridor. If you need to rest, go up the stairs to the Dorms and then come back down again.
Go through the door on the right, to the Minister’s Chambers.
There are papers on the table to the right; read these notes. Walk up to the dresser by the bed and collect the Priestess’ Robes. Change into the Priestess’ Robes and then go to the alcove to the left of the piano to find the magic door. Choose to use the door, which transports you to St. Alathena’s Well.

15. St. Alathena’s Well.
In this area, the gates are opened by walking up to the torches and lighting them.
Light the torches and proceed down to the next screen.
Open the chest and light the torch. Go down and light the torch. Open the 2 chests and light the torch. Exit the screen to the left.

Go down the last passage to light the torch, open the chest and light the torch in the top right corner. Walk up and then up the steps to open the chest and light the torch. Go up the steps and walk left into the small room and light the torch.
Continue right and then up the steps and all the way along the passage to the left. Go down into the room to light the torch and open the 2 chests. Walk back up to light the torch in the passage and continue back to the right. Go down into the room to open the chest and light the torch. And then down again to light the next torch. Walk back to the corridor an up the steps to the right, to the next screen.

Open the chest, then walk all the way left, lighting the torch on the way. Go up into the room to light the torch and then open the chest. Starting back to the right, go up the two sets of steps before lighting the torch. Enter the room above and light the torch. Light the torch in the top left corner.
Make your way back down the steps and continue to the right to where you entered the screen. Now walk up, open the chest, go up again and light the torch. Now go up and exit the screen to the right.

Light the torch in the room above. Continue to the right and light the torch in the room at the end. Now climb the 3 sets of steps and light the two torches. Continue up to open the chest and light the 2 torches. Walk up and then to the right to open the chest. Walk down to light the torch. Return to the corridor and take the passage down to light the torch. Return to the corridor, go up the steps and head right. Go up the steps to exit the screen.

Light the torch and follow the path around to the right. Go up to open the 2 chests and light the torch. Then up again to light the next torch. Return to the corridor and go up the next set of steps to light the torch. Now climb the right-most steps to exit the screen.

Save and heal up because you are about to get a main fight. Open the chest and walk up the steps, you overhear an argument between the Ministers of Magic and Science. Ynza, a fire Aerfae is raised and you must fight her. Ata is able to paralyse her.

After winning, the Minister of Science escapes and Ynza joins Binearh, who gains the Aerfae Curse skill.

You are back in the Minister’s Chambers and have to locate a flying machine, in the Science Minister’s lab. You are given a Scientist’s Outfit. On the way out of Eldergloam Manor, you can stop off in the Dorms for a rest. Exit the Manor and touch the crystal outside.
Exit Etherwisp.

16. Tesla Hall.
The lab you want is Southeast of Etherwisp, the other side of the lake.
On entering Tesla Hall, you are faced with a puzzle consisting of three boulders, one of rock, one iron and one ice. There is a plaque on the wall to give you some clues on how to solve it.
Change into the Scientist’s Outfit.
The boulders need to be rolled into the back of the 3 alcoves that you can see. The rock goes into the left-most one (with the white mark on the wall). The ice, in the middle and the iron, nearest the entrance.
Open the door in the top left corner.

The men walking around in red robes in this section are Lab Assistants and will not fight you.

Walk to the portal in the left room. Cross to the next portal. Walk down to the next portal.
Walk right and speak to the Lab Assistant. He tells you that green means go and red means you messed up. He also says that if you hit red you’ll have to turn off all the green and start over. This advice will soon be useful.
Walk to the portal. Walk down to the next portal. The next portal is to the right. The room below has the next portal. You are now outside a door, go through it to the next screen.
Come out of the alcove with the door and head right. Then walk up and take the second passage on the left. Walk to the end and go down, exiting the screen to the left.
Go up to the room containing red and green lights. Turn on all the green ones. The door in the top left corner will now open.

There are 2 machines, either side of the purple portal. Turning on both machines will make the portal turn white and enable it. Walk to the portal and press Enter.

You now have control of the flying machine.

17. Returning Home.
Flying to the right will take you back to the first island.

To exit the flying machine, simply press Enter. However, if you hover directly over a town and exit, you will not be able to access the flying machine again. Land on plain areas.

At the south of the first island is a tower you will not yet have visited, this is called End of the World and is another optional area. The monsters are very tough.

Make your way back up to the palace in Amandine and the King’s bedroom. Speak to your uncle, which will trigger a scene that results in the King’s death.
Exit your bedroom and head down stairs and through the central double doors, into the Throne room for Calliope’s coronation.

18. Soulmirror Well.
An earthquake produces a doorway in the top right corner. Go through it into Soulmirror Well and the group joins up again.

Beware - when fighting Experiment 83986, they can suck out 250 HP from a character in one go.

Walk left and go down the narrow steps at the end to the next screen. Open the two chests and return to the previous screen.
Walk back to the entrance and then walk down and use the steps to the next screen.
Open the chest. Go down the steps and open the chest. Walk to the left and open the chest. Return to the previous screen.
Go down the middle (wider) set of steps and then go right into the black, to the next screen.

Take the first set of steps up and follow the path to open the chest. The monster in the room before the chest re-spawns immediately. Return to the entrance. Take the passage down and follow it all the way to the right for three chests. On the way back, take the passage up for five chests. Back at the entrance, walk right, opening the chest on the way to the end. Exit right, to the next screen. Follow the path around and exit at the top left to the next screen.

Follow the path and go down the steps.

Open the 4 chests and flick the lever. Return to the previous screen.
Exit the bottom room and walk right, taking the first passage up, to open 2 chests. Exit left, to the next screen.
Open the 2 chests and go down the steps. Open the 2 chests and go down the left passage to open 4 chests. Now go down the steps on the right and flick the switch. Return to the previous screen.
Go back to the silver doors and save and heal up.

Go through the doors, to Soulmirror Shrine.
Walk straight ahead and you will meet the Science Minister again. You will have to fight a Braincharger. It can be paralysed and poisoned.
Once you have won, you collect the Aerfae Armour.
Return to the Throne room and speak to your uncle. Rest in Calliope’s bedroom and then exit the palace and Amandine, to the World Map.

This is your last opportunity to battle the monsters in the End of the World tower.

Great job putting together this walkthrough TMGamer99! This must've taken a lot of time and effort.

Since this can be a very useful tool to other players, I have gone ahead and stickied this thread.
