HIDDEN EXPEDITION AMAZON

I am whatever level shows a body of water going through a cave with garbage on the right hand side of the screen and a small boat on the left hand side of the screen. I have found all the objects, but I can't go any further until I use my inventory items.

My inventory items are a pair of wire cutters, a light bulb and a gasoline can. The only area on the screen that my cursor turns blue is in a small area right inside the boat. But none of the inventory items work here. What am I doing wrong?

maddie, go back to the first puzzle with the trains, with the bold cutters open the chain on the locked doors. You should get it from there. You need oars for the boat. Good Luck
