slider puzzle 3rd part persian carpet game

Hi all, I am absolutely stumped by the puzzle here. I have done the first 2 parts and am totally stuck on the 3rd bit. I can see what I need to do in getting the 3 pice long bit out of the way but I cannot do it. I have been on this for 2 days. I have even resorted to looking up the walkthroughs but the puzzle seems to have changed since these were posted, maybe a newer version?, I cannot get any further. Someone please help me!!!!!
