Hey pleshware43

As the devs create more levels, we'll be able to release them. I'm unable to locate any specific information on when the next update will be, but we are working to get one out to you all as soon as possible!

Timer Refill

[Post New]by senevabu on Jul 28, 14 6:03 PM
Would it be possible for the developers to include a GET Timer Refill as they did for the Jumpstarts. I do not keep my internet active unless I am actually using it for shopping, email or research. I have to connect each time I want to do a Timer Refill and it takes time for my internet to connect.

Also, could you do something about the Passport Gate Entry. Allow us to buy them also, or give us a bonus for fast time or high appeal levels?

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE this game!!! I have played it more often in the last few days than I have Gardens Inc. Rakes to Riches and I played that for hours every day.

Looking forward to the updates!!! Thank you for such an entertaining group of games. I have all the Build-a-Lots.

Thanks,

senevabu

Hi there!
I am a bit confused. How can this be "Tomorrow's Game Today" (August 12), when this forum was started on July 16? What did I miss? Was there an earlier CE? I didn't think the Build-a-Lot games had those.

Hello Coffeemom2,

I know. It's all a bit Twilight Zone, isn't it?

From what I've read it's because it is a Free 2 Play game, but I still don't understand where this whole forum has been hiding for almost a month. I can only think that because it has in-house purchases it may be in a totally different section first, like the Casino place.

I never go there, though, so I really don't know. I'm hoping someone can clarify.

Hi, I am also confused. Does it mean you actually have to buy things like the workshop etc. to play this game? I love all the BaL games but if I have to pay in real money it is not for me. Maybe I missed something and someone can enlighten me.

Hey Tiger2010 and coffeemom2

This game was previously in a sort of testing period to iron out bugs before it's big debut. We just wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly before officially announcing it.

It was available to anyone who came across it while browsing games, and now it's shown in the New Releases so everyone knows about it.

I hope this helps explain things, but if there are any questions, please feel free to PM one of the Mods

Haha! As Tiger2010 said, it did feel a little like the Twilight Zone, I kept looking at the calendar, checking my dates, searching all over for a location I might have missed. Thanks for clearing up the mystery

Ah, thank you bfgVaiya. Now I get it!

Hi Lieke60,

The Free 2 Play games are technically free, but usually there comes a moment in time when you can't earn gold or energy (or whatever else it is) fast enough to earn enough to buy new stuff or progress with the speed we are all used to.

So you either wait for your meters to refill (sometimes for an hour or more of real time) or, if you want something immediately, you then buy more coins / hearts, or whatever it may be (in this case 'jumpstarts') to hurry things along.

I think players are divided on this format. Some love them because they are free and if you have 5 or 6 on the go at any one time, then I guess waiting around isn't too bad. Other players prefer to pay for their games outright.

Thanks Tiger 2010 for your explanation. I am not sure this format is for me, but I will give it some thought.

How much real money did you spend doing that?

Zero dollar spent here. The only restriction is that you can't sit there and play the game continuously for 24 hours.

To each his own; why sit and wait to play a game (all the time being tempted to spend real money to advance) when you could pay a nominal flat fee and play the game to your heart's content instead?

But that's just me.

Hi Hitchhiker1,

How did you manage to get past Level 7 that requires you to have the workshop without paying $20 for it?

I'm not being facetious here, but if you know of a way to get it without paying I'm willing to give this game another go.

I'm up to level 40 without spending any real money. Three stars on each level and no world money or jump starts used.

To get the workshop etc, you get them like any BAL game, click the middle tab and you get workshop, sawmill, etc. You have to buy them within each level with the money earned on that level, selling houses or rent.

Thank you Aljensal

I must have missed something. I did find the tab for those buildings, but it took me to the usual Big Fish checkout to buy it. I'll download the game again and see where I went wrong and I may have to amend my rather harsh review.

Well... I have to say I'm flummoxed.

I re-downloaded the game and it remembered that I was on Level 7 where you need the workshop.

The tabs I have at the bottom are (from left to right) - the money / objectives, workers, materials and the buildings on the far right. When I click on the workshop it takes me to the BFG buy screen and asks me to confirm if I want to buy it for GBP £10.00 real money not game money.

What am I missing? Someone help please a mucho frustrated BAL lover???

ETA: No worries, everyone. I've obviously forgotten how these games work! Ok, I found it - got confused with that partnership thing. I've got it now. Thanks for the help!

Tiger, I have the same questions and obviously not as bright as you, haven't figured it out. Anyone?

Hi AZGypsie,

You know when you click on an empty plot, it then comes up at the bottom for you either to build a house or a building? It's that usual building button that lets you buy the workshop and others for the in-game materials you have.

I got confused with the last tab which takes you to the checkout page and thought they'd changed the whole premise of the game.
