Cut the Rope - Multiple User Profile Switching

[Post New]by TheRealFreak on Aug 8, 14 1:03 PM
Due to lack of time I just post here the contents of my "LaunchGame.BAT" (for german windows xp, please adjust the path SAVGAMEDRW, especially the part 'Eigene Dateien' with the name of your documents folder) for multiple user profile switching for cut the rope:

LaunchGame.BAT
@ECHO OFF
SET SAVGAMEDRW=Eigene Dateien\SavedGames\CutTheRope\Preferences
IF NOT EXIST "%USERPROFILE%\%SAVGAMEDRW%\%1" GOTO UNKOWNUSER
COPY "%USERPROFILE%\%SAVGAMEDRW%\%1\*.*" "%USERPROFILE%\%SAVGAMEDRW%\Player1\*.*" /Y
"CutTheRopeApp.exe"
COPY "%USERPROFILE%\%SAVGAMEDRW%\Player1\*.*" "%USERPROFILE%\%SAVGAMEDRW%\%1\*.*" /Y
:UNKOWNUSER

The basis steps for my simple profile switching are always similar:
- copy Launchgame.BAT to your games harddisk destination
- copy the existing link in your start menu for each user
- modify each link to run Launchgame.BAT Username: e.g. Launchgame.BAT Mike or Launchgame.BAT "Big Mike"
- set window style to minimized, change the (missing) icon to your harddisk destination location of the game.exe and set the current location to your harddisk destination of the game
- create a folder for each user and a template folder (for more users) at your destination of the user profile
- copy the user profile file(s) to each of these folders

Note: enclose path or user name containing spaces in double quotes.

Please see a detailed description how to use this for a certain game here:

Feel free to ask for more details when you're interested.
