Anyone NOT have problems with castle crashes??

[Post New]by JACKS56 on Aug 16, 14 7:47 AM
I started a castle upgrade, but not going to click XP until I hear bugs have been fixed. Was wondering if anyone has had success with castle upgrade?

I don't think anyone has since there is missing/corrupt files that are needed to run the game with the update. I got a response saying they are working over the weekend so hopefully the fix comes out soon.

It is not to often they work weekends but only when they are swamped with tech issues. I have gotten a response back on a ticket on Saturday. I hope they get it working soon since I have each island filled with a wubbox in the incubator and cakes in every oven.

Curious - You got an auto reply email or a real person response?
Was that from Big Fish Games support?
My reply was an auto response giving me a ticket # for the reported problem.

It was a response from a person from Big Fish, I sent the ticket in early yesterday morning after the game crash.

I was looking at my game save that I have backed up on a flash drive and looked through the files. I compared it to the game save on my computer and noticed that there was a 0.2 MB's difference between the two. I flash drive backed up one was at 14.2 MB's and my computer one is 14.0 MB's. The only difference was my flash drive one has the ad for the diamond sale, is 201 KB's. Does anyone that has access/playable game have a diamond ad sale in their game save folder? I just wish they would create a updated version to get rid of the large game save.

I don't feel loved since they've never cared enough to fix the choppy sound from the December 3rd update. I've long forgotten how my monsters used to sound. I feel even worse knowing that I'll never hear how my "newer" monsters sound either.

Holding my breath for them to fix this mess over the weekend.

Just curious? Are you sure it is the game and not your computer sound card or the sound file? Do you have other Music files on your computer? How many music file programs do you have loading when you start your computer? Choppy sound suggest that the MySingingMonster file is corrupted? How many other gamers are reporting the choppy sound problem? Ask that question on this forum and based upon the number of responses you get, you can determine whether it is in fact a game problem or your PC computer file problem.

I', have the same problem with the upgrade on the Castle. It keeps crashing just before the Loading of the game. I have upgraded everything and still it keeps crashing. And I know it's not my computer. There is something wrong with the program.

I know for a fact that it is the game itself. I started playing it game when it came out and everything was fine to December 2, 2013. A update had cursor alignment problems, I was fine with it but others were complaining about the issue. At this whole time nothing was wrong with the game, audio was normal. A new update was released December 3, 2013 to fix the cursor alignment and this update was the start of the choppy audio for some of us. I have send so many tickets for support and was told it was being looked into. I don't think they are concerned since it is not that many that are affected with the audio.

Since it isn't a system wide problem, like the castle crash, it might be one of your audio card isn't compatible with that December update. Have you tried it on a different computer? Transfer your msm data files to another computer (PC) and see if the sound is the same. I had to do that as my XP had a video card that was so old MSM would not run o it anymore. I bought a 7 machine, transferred the data file, and now can play. Well I COULD Play but I upgraded my castles without knowng the program was buggy....

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry to hear that some are experiencing sound issues and that many are encountering crashing and then not being able to get back into My Singing Monsters!

FishyFemale, Natty15519, and tazruby2000, that's disappointing that you're experiencing audio issues or no audio at all. This doesn't seem to be a frequently reported issue with the game at this time, but you can definitely send in a ticket to our Tech Support Team so they can try to help and see if anything can be done on your computer to make the sound work properly again. If nothing helps, the technical issues are still recorded so we can get that information to the game developers.

As for the crashing issues after trying to collect XP, tazruby2000 is absolutely right in that we've escalated this since it seems many are experiencing this issue recently. The good news is the developers are aware and investigating further, so hopefully they'll be able to find a fix and release an update soon that will resolve this so you can all get back to playing.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, everyone!

I have contacted support many times on the sound issue, the first couple of times my tickets were ignored and the tech made excuses saying it was computer related and gave me game coupons and said I could choose a new game. I contacted support another time and that time was more helpful since it was sent into the developers to be looked into further. Why should I have to keep sending tickets in since there was a update after I sent the ticket in for the further looking into? I just gave up on the audio issue since the developer does not even seem to care about the choppy audio, it is just a waste of my time.

tazruby2000, thanks for your persistence in contacting us about the issue, and again, my apologies that you're still experiencing issues with the audio. I'll be sure to get this reported to the team of specialists that work with the developers, so maybe this is something they can try to fix in a future update.

Thanks for keeping us all updated. I'm in the crash group; I've never experienced any sound problems.
