For those not winning the slot Jackpot

[Post New]by FrauMeike on Aug 29, 14 1:13 AM
I just contacted the CS to address the phenomenon that some of us are winning the Jackpot on a regular basis whilst others didn't win gold or trophies once since the slot machine was introduced.

The CS was quick and friendly as always (thanks for that) and told me, that the winning is randomized. So, actually there should be a even chance for everybody. Since some of the users win significantly more often than others (I just visited my neighbour 666 Black Sabbath Way who owned not one, but at least three of the sabertooth skeletons and two golden slot machines) the CS will hand the information to the developers.

So I guess we have to just wait until they take care of the problem.
Hopefully it won't take too longs, because it's really frustrating to spend goldbars on chips without getting anything back. I just hit the achievement for 1000 spins. And visiting neighbours who obviously are luckier than me makes me only envious.

I have neighbors who have many...and I mean like 20-30 jackpot machines on their property and neighbors who can't win a single one. Maybe it's randomized, but it sure doesn't look like it.

Edited to say--I've got two of each so I'm not complaining but I still question the randomness...

Howdy!

Some of my neighbours have many more! But then again, they are probably spending hours playing slots, when I crank the machine a dozen times a day.

Theo - not cranky about this

Over the last weeks, since I discovered the new achievements for the slot machine, I spun a lot. Not as in thousand times a day, but as in 50-100 times a day with different bets. As I said, I just got the achievement for 1000 spins, and that's only the time since they introduced the achievements.

It would be interesting to hear from the lucky winners how many times they pulled the lever to get their reward. Anyone?

Hi,

Before the Slot Achievement I was able to use jackpot machines to do fairly intricate decorations on my manor. I really didn't play them that much.

Since the new achievement awards I've won one for my junior manor and played much longer and spent more gold to get it.

Something has changed.

Bereft,
froth

I've completed the 1000 spins and won 2 Devil Slots jackpots, betting 10.
With a free spin I've won a Helly Skelly.
Once I've used up all the chips I'll stick to the daily free spin and win all achievements in about ??? years.

It does indeed appear that they've tightened up the Slots. I spin, 20-30 times per session, betting 100 each time.

BEFORE the Slot Achievement began (playing since May), I won 3 Devil Down slot machines.

AFTER the Slot Achievements went up ... I completed the 1000 spins without a single jackpot. I still spin 20-30 times per session, betting 100 each time - and still no jackpot.

I'm also winning far fewer chips/coins per session ... I'm so far away from winning 500,000 chips, it will probably take at least another 6 months to complete the chip Achievement.

I'm now playing just once or twice a day. Not even thinking about winning 5 jackpots.

The Achievement Award for winning 5 jackpots should probably be raised from 1 Gold, to 500 Gold, because it's probably going to take at least 100x that amount to actually complete this one.

Is winning the gold jackpot the same as winning the skeleton/slot machine reward, actually? So when you win 2 gold bars (bet 10) do you automatically get the skeleton, too?
I always thought that winning the reward has nothing to do with winning the gold bar jackpot.

FrauMeike when you win a jackpot, a pop-up will tell you you've won the reward (slot machine item or Skelly beast item) and hitting collect sends it to your inventory. At the same time, if you look in the top right hand corner where it usually shows how many chips you won; it will show how many gold bars you were rewarded. You always win both gold and an item.

I wasn't winning much of anything until last week. Over this last week I have won 2 slot machines and a Skelly for my manors. I'm not a big spinner and don't spin for hours. If one machine isn't paying out, I switch to the other one. This sometime helps. If neither are paying out, I get out and come back later. I haven't found a systems that works. Just keep spinning.

I got most of mine by playing for an hour or two at a time - continuously. I watched a TV show while I did it in order to help pass the time. But I just clicked one right after the other until an episode or two had gone by. Sometimes I didn't win anything despite all the clicking, but occasionally I did.

An hour or two ... oh my .. If I had wanted to do that I would have played BFG Casino... Just my own point of view of course.

Well, I'll stick to my dozen 10 bets a day (it's supposed to be random, right?). Do I want to have so many plots of land dedicated to JPs? Nope. If I get a one, it'll be great!! If not, I'll survive! I shall not even bother achieve unreachable achievements ( :-) ).

Yes FrauMeike, when you win the JP, you get an attraction and some gold (never gold without an attraction as far as I know).

Good luck cranking!!!

Thank you for addressing this issue. I have spent precious. Gold to play over and over again and only won once and that was in the very beginning.

Judging from what I read here and see on my neighbors mansions the chances are far from even. I don't know what kind of randomization this is, but obviously it doesn't know anything about statistics.

Thanks, though, for clearing things up a little.

I can't imagine the slots being tighter! I gave up on Helly Skelly. I've gotten a few from Devil Down, but I have purchased tokens and spun hundreds of times, running out of chips w/o winning, 20,000 chips @ 10 a spin with nothing to show seems awful tight to begin with. Yes, I have neighbors with 50 or more, and other neighbors who haven't won any. I get the random thing, but gee, there are times when it seems off balance.

Agreed, Kamehameha ... It's not just the jackpots - it's the low payouts. If I were playing at a "brick and mortar" casino, I wouldn't be playing these slots ... I'd be walking down the Vegas Strip to find another casino.

Ha, I just won the jackpot!
My bet was 20 and I spun on Devil Down for almost thirty minutes.
So now I'm a proud owner of the golden slot machine and the tidy sum of three gold bars (after spending approx. 10 for chips)

Hey FrauMeike- that's not a very good ROI . I am hesitant to spend gold on more coins, just for that reason. The math doesn't work out.

Though effectively Frau got a 2x2 square attraction for her manor, that pays out silver (hourly is it?) for 7 gold. That's not bad.

Perhaps, but if I wanted to increase my silver, by spending gold, I'd go for a one day silver boost in conjunction with a scavenger hunt.
