Flooded Well

I flooded the well but the umbrella is still down there. Is there any way to retrieve it or will I have to start over?

I'm surprised you we able to flood the well with the umbrella still down there. Usually the game will stop you from leaving something behind. Are you certain the umbrella isn't in your inventory, maybe just scrolled off the screen? Try moving through your inventory all the way left and right to see if it's hiding.

Or if you have a the rat figurine in your inventory, then you already used the umbrella on the statue. (And the statue will still be holding the umbrella.)

If you have neither the umbrella or the rat figurine, try just going to the roof and see if you can open the case and play the game without using the umbrella on the statue first.

If all that fails, then yes, I'm afraid you'll have to start over.

Yeah, it kind of surprised me too. The map shows something to do in the well but I cannot get down there now. Oh well, I will start over. Thank you for replying.
