A Question for JoeKazz

[Post New]by msfelvis on Oct 15, 14 9:24 AM
Hi Joe,

I understand that you're the developer of this clutter series and have a question for you.

I bought Clutter 1 - 3, but none of them have sound.

Tried to get help from the BigFish Tech Team, but to no avail. Mind you, I'm not complaining about their service. They offered refund, but I didn't take it.

Yes, I still keep all three games even though there's no sound 'cos I do enjoy them. It would be nice if I can have sound. So, can you help?

Btw, I have the same problem as most others with mmex ... whatever, so
Clutter IV is a no go until that's fixed.

Thanks!

Hi msfelvis:

Sorry to hear that about the sound.
What does your option screen say?
There are sliders for the Sound and Music...
...and they should be either in the middle or
to the right hand side. (If they're both to the
left, then that would mean no sound).

However, since all three games have that problem,
it's probably something else.

I use .ogg files (some games use .wav files) and
I'll research whether that has some problems on some
systems.

Can you tell me what your system is?

As for the mm.exe problem, I'm working on a fix for
that, and hope to have something available soon.

Joe

Thanks, Joe -- I knew you'd get right to work on the problem we're having with "Clutter 4". Hope it's fixed soon as I'm addicted to your games and can't wait to play this one. BTW, I was happy to see that you've put most of the old familiar objects back to work in this latest entry!

Hi Misty5:

The "don't change player name" work around should avoid the crash problems.
I don't know why it's a little draggy on some people's computers and have only heard about one person locking-up. (I suspect it's just another version of the same problem).

Joe, while we're on the subject of minigame goals/rules, I couldn't figure out the secret to "wallflowers". Instructions said to place pieces according to color, but nothing worked for me. I could join together all pieces of one color just fine, but that's as far as I got -- couldn't join those color blocks into one "whole". Any tips for me? Thanks!

Thanks, Joe, for your speedy response!

The sliders for both music and sound move, ... just no sound or music!

Mine is Word 7 Home Premium. One thing worth mentioning is whenever I play one of the clutter games, the color of the bottom part of my screen changes ~~ normally it's black, but it changes to pale blue when a clutter game is on. I'm a computer retard so I don't know what that means. Does that have anything to do with this problem?

I have hundreds of games, these three are the only ones without sound.

Again, thanks for looking into this!

I love this game .. and I loved all the others too! So simple, yet so addictive.

So far, this one is playing just fine .. but the others don't .. every time I try them, a little roaming panel pops up saying something like ' not supported' or something like that. They play for a good few months, and then .. that same little panel popped up.

I've tried everything .. because I do SO miss "He Said She Said".

Any ideas Joe?
Thanks
Jo

Can you use all new objects for Clutter 5. I am bored with the old ones. If you get new objects, I'll look forward to buying it.
Thank you!
Debbie

Hi Christine:

Don't know what you mean?
In the Quest, the Timer is the belt laps.
Are you saying the belt laps don't count down?

Any extra information will be appreciated.

Joe
