treasures of the deep - screensaver

help! i bought an Acer notebook in Jan & found a gorgeous screensaver in the control panel to stick on desktop. it has text across it though saying 'you must first complete the game to access this beautiful screensaver' - and i can't! i can make the fish scoot around if i chase them with the cursor using the touchpad but as far as i can tell no other key does anything i can use to 'play'. how do i play? do i need joystick or wot? i never played games on computer or mobile ph before - not since the days of the commodore 64 at any rate!!!

Welcome to the pond! You will need to get the "Treasures of the Deep" game here, and play it, and then activate the screensaver. I haven't played this game myself but there are quite a few games that have associated screensavers. To find it, click "Download Games" at the top of this page, then "PC Games" (assuming you have a PC and not a Mac), then "Find a Game". Either click T and look for it or type the name of the game in the search box. Then when you find the right page that talks about that game, you click the Download button. You should get 60 minutes of free trial to see if you like the game enough to pay for it.

You might also look through the laptop to see if the game is already installed on it somewhere. If you see an icon on the desktop that shows a green fish and says "Play my games" then click that and see if Treasures of the Deep is listed. If the game was already played on that laptop for 60 minutes then you won't have any trial time left but you would be able to just click the Buy button to buy it instead of downloading it.

I found the Touchpad on my laptop very hard to deal with so I bought a mouse. You may find a mouse easier to use when playing your games. There are a variety of different mouses, some made especailly for laptops. My laptop is pretty old. I bought a trackball for it because when using the laptop I have little room to move a mouse around. If room is no object for you, get a nice wireless mouse. My wireless mouse is an MS 6000 with built in magnifier. The nagnifier does not seem to work in any of my games so far but it is great for reading WEB pages and Forums!

Built-in mouse magnifiers seem to work better when the game is in windowed mode. I can never get mine to work right in a full screen game but almost never have any problem when I switch to windowed mode.

Help........The screen saver keeps saying I need to play the game to unlock the screensaver. I bought the game and I've played it. But the screen saver still won't unlock. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something else I need to do? Please help

you may need to go under options in the game to unlock the screen saver hope this helps if not you can contact customer support for help or look through the help pages it is the little green envelope on the right
