Completing lvl 56

One of the goals for this level is to evacuate either 15 or 16 people by plane - at night,so you have to fire up a generator in order to light up the runway. What I can't quite figure out is how I'm supposed to do that when:

- Each use of the generator requires 20 fuel
- There are 40 fuel total 'sitting' on the level map (2 uses of the generator)
- The plane only carries 7 people (2x7 = 14) - no more than 7 waited by the runway even after waiting an additional day
- You cannot build a gas station to make more fuel of your own
- There is (apparently) no way to order more fuel

Am I just missing something blindingly obvious?

Me too. Totally stumped here....

You have to click on the generator to turn it off after the plane lands to conserve fuel so you have enough for 3 pick ups.

Thanks it worked for me too. I had gas left over.
