Windows 8.1. The hint button stops working when you are on the train. Also with full screen mode it does not fill the full screen and there is a good two inch border of black on the left and right hand sides of the screen.

Hi everyone!

If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Game Compatibility

While we can offer a known solution for technical issues in the Forums, or other tech savvy pond residents can swim by with good tips and suggestions, we cannot provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team.

The Forums are not very well suited for the kinds of information gathering and troubleshooting that get these types of issues corrected quickly.

If there is a problem with the game, our Support Team can also gather necessary information on what types of computers are being affected by the problem and deliver this information to the developer for a fix.

If you are not able to get a game working properly using our Help pages, please get in touch with our Customer Support team, you can find a link to contact our Support team on the front page of our Help pages.

When posting in this thread and also when contacting our Support Team, it would be helpful if you could state what system you are playing the game on (i.e. PC, MAC or Mobile), so we can provide you with the appropriate support as quickly as possible.

*Finally, please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

Having the same problem as most of you. Everytime I try to use the hammer to get the tweezers, game freezes. I have tried unloading and reloading game, doesn't help.

Uncheck Aspect Ratio to fill the screen.

Cannot get the game to even open, either from Game Manager, desktop icon, or going directly to the Program Files and using the actual launch icon. Very disappointed, looked to be a good game for once. XP, Chrome

I have windows vista and can't pick up the last part of the kite on the train. The hint shows me where it is, but I can't pick it up no matter where I click. Can't continue with the game until this is fixed.

Same problem here I can't get the game to open. Cannot get the game to even open, either from Game Manager, desktop icon, or going directly to the Program Files and using the actual launch icon, XP, Internet Explorer.

some games I would have problems with I would go into my files and find the game and change the compatibility settings to match what is closest to my windows 8. Usual changing it from like Vista setting or windows 7 setting to XP 3 service pack would work. Not all games have that option but that has worked for me. Gonna go buy this game and see if it gives me that option and make sure that the compatibility settings are right for me. Find game in program files, click on it then it will give a list of stuff dealing with the game, find the game title in that list and the right click, hit properties then click on the compatibility tab, if it's running in a mode that your computer isn't, click the check mark to open up all the options you can run the game in. Not sure if this game will have that option but will go buy it then update if it does..

UPDATE: it does have the option to change compatibility mode. I have windows 8 and it shows the game downloaded and is set to run in XP service pack 3..so off to play see if I have any issues.

Different OS, but same problem as quoted below: The hint button stops working when you are on the train.
Note: It can be re-activated by clicking (a ) on menu, then (b ) on Play.
It will stop working again, each time when using it for something else than a directional hint.

Still a glitch, of course. It's only enough to have a further look at the demo.

Re. Aspect ratio: A "solution" for hiding the black bars is, as posted above, to uncheck Aspect Ratio in the options - but: The game mode choice window that was displayed right afterwards was much too wide for the screen. So one can't be sure either that this 'option' works everywhere / all the time for seeing all needed things. It doesn't seem to be really neither full screen nor widescreen.

Using Win 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit.

Had the same problem. Could not get the game to even open, either from Game Manager, desktop icon, or going directly to the Program Files and using the actual launch icon. Installed and uninstalled 3 times. Using XP, Chrome. Downloaded the demo game from **** games and, although the game took forever to download, once downloaded, it worked perfectly with no hitches. I have been a long time member and have been very disappointed lately that BF automatically assumes that any problems with their games, and there have been many lately, are the fault of their user and their users systems, when it appears that the games have not been properly vetted by BF

In the boiler room, I can't pick up the last piece of the kite. Cannot move on. Is there a fix?
