I had trouble with the first scene too. Needed to send some info to Reeves before I could proceed. It had something to do with the PDA. I acciedently figured it out so I can't remember exactly what I did. Waiting for a walkthrough.

I downloaded this huge program, and it takes me to the very first scene, where the dead body is found then I receive an error violation and it shuts down. Actually, this has happened with several of the larger games that we have to purchase before trying. I am running a new system, 2.13 GHz - 3.37 gig of Ram - Windows XP and only run into these errors when using the BF large game files.

This has also happened to me (error violation and shut down), although a bit further into the game. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I've already had to download the game twice (at 5 hours a time) because it didn't seem to download properly the first time, it kept freezing when interviewing Martin in the kitchen, then it crashed my computer!! It takes ages for BF to reply when contacting them directly, so can anyone help?

I have had to re-download as well.....I can't even get into the game..I have this big quit screen that takes up the whole space so the only thing I can do is hit quit and I haven't been able to play it yet. BF needs to test these games better before they expect us to pay for them. If they don't they will loose alot of players as well as money!!!!!

I downloaded this on my desktop computer.....windows xp with lots of memory. It was very sluggish, the pointer was jumpy and the video inm the beginning kept skipping. I downloaded it on my laptop and everything is working fine. Windows Vista with more memory and fewer BF games loaded. This happened on a couple of other large file games. I'm just glad it only takes an hour for me to download and that they will work on my laptop. This game is a LOT of talking and asking questions. Very dark game and a couple of x-rated words I don't like to hear. That was a shock to my senses, lol. All in all though I like the game, I think, but wouldn't be able to do it without consulting my walkthrough too often.

When I frist downloaded the game it would freeze up. I had to turn off my firewall to download the game. But turned it back on as soon as the game downloaded. and it's working just fine now.

Hi Everyone,

I've downloaded and re-downloaded this game twice because of tech problems. Both times when I got to the end the whole downloaded packet was corrupted and it skipped too many parts and I couldn’t get a complete "nice" ending -- video and/or audio-wise.

As for this game itself, I'm glad I play the games, first, before I let my grandkids play them. The story line and plot I have to say -- are terrible. Big Fish better beware they don't get sued for such mind-disturbing contents. I did not find any warnings about "Adult Content." Quazi-incest rape, patricide and infantside are not what kids need to be involved in today, nevermind playing games that reflect such horrors!

Getting back to the game, the graphics could have been more colorful, as the intrinsic detail was fantastic and deserved to be more brilliant. The audio was alright, until the end when the whole game skipped like a bad CD with scratches.

On the whole, this was a "bad" game.

I too, am having tech problems with this game. I'm now trying to download, for the 3rd time! I'm at 48% this go round. The 2 times before, it got to the end of download but didn't download properly (corrupt files?), so I've yet to even be able to install, much less try to play.

I'm running Vista 64 bit Business SP-1 and a brand new outfit that I put together myself, so I know for sure that all my specs well exceed what is needed to install & play this game. We're talking Core 2 duo 2.8GHz, 4GB memory, ATI Radeon HD 3450, a brand new 1TB hard drive, new DVD drive, new motherboard...the whole works is new. All drivers are up to date.

I don't know what to think about player pat's review of the game. It would seem that his/her description is of very adult content indeed, and I agree that it's NOT appropriate for children. While I didn't find a warning about adult content, there is a warning about "Explicit Language". It's in red at the end of the synopsis on the game info/download page.

I also noted that in the required specs for this game, VISTA is listed, but no specifics on 32 or 64 bit. 64 bit is being used more & more each day, and software developers need to catch up & make more programs/games compatible with it. Just as it says you can run either Windows XP or Vista, it should run on 32 and/or 64 bit as well. Just my 2 cents...whatever that's worth!

Note: I've gone to the help section (clicked on the green envelope just to the right of here), and I've read & followed the help for Vista users. We'll see if that makes any difference in my case. Download is now at 50% but will still be hours yet. If it still won't install after this, I will be contacting customer support.

player pat says..

"As for this game itself, I'm glad I play the games, first, before I let my grandkids play them. The story line and plot I have to say -- are terrible. I expressed my outrage under Foul Language and both there and here in response to you I am frankly a bit disturbed that people are so blase' about it. Like I tiny ripple in a pond...no pun intended. They just watch it go by and say "well there is a warning"...and then go on about how their computers are hanging up on this game.

Explicit language warning (which I didn't see) in my mind wouldn't cover the TYPE of content in this game. It's presented as a mystery to solve. There is no need for or relation to plot line, for Billy to say what he said about "B'I'nai." Women have fought long and hard for respectful treatment and for this to be put in a GAME says through the action..."this is okay."

WhipFish: If your post is in response to mine, (and I'm guessing that it possibly is from some of your comments), I'm not being "blasé", about anything.

For me personally, I am only going on what I'm reading here, as I STILL have not been able to completely download this game, so I have not actually installed nor played this game yet. Therefore, I haven't seen the references you are talking about. If I can't resolve my download issues with this, I will be contacting customer support to ask for a refund (or another game) myself.

You are obviously upset by this game's contents...I get that. And you may very well have every right to be so. However, it's no one's fault but your own that you "didn't see" the Explicit Language warning. It's plain as day & even in RED to stand out. You should have read the game info entirely before you bought & downloaded it. That's YOUR responsibility.

Now, if the content is truly as bad as you & player pat say, then you should immediately uninstall the game from your machine, write to BigFish customer support, tell THEM how you feel & ask for a refund. No one else posting here can do anything about your outrage but YOU. Don't jump on the rest of us because you are angry & upset with BigFish and/or the developers of this game. We are players, just like you. Me pointing out that there is an Explicit Language warning & talking about my download issues IS NOT the same as saying "this is okay".

Your issues about game content are with BigFish and/or the game developers, not with other gamers. We didn't make nor sell the game, they did. We can't change the game content nor add additional warnings to it, but they can.

On the other hand, I am here to convey my problems with downloading this game, compare my pc specs & OS with other players & to read what others have tried to see if there's something more I can do with my pc to correct my downloading problems. Reading over this forum, there are more posts concerning download, install & running the game issues than there are about it's specific Explicit Language or adult content. Not to say that the adult content is not worth discussing, just saying that there seems to be more posts concerning other issues ATM. Of course, if I can't find a solution to my specific issues here on the forum, I will ultimately take it up with customer support.

Well...No I wasn't singling you or any other one person out. Nor was I asking for advice. I have already contacted Big Fish and removed it, but as a customer/community member/parent...was discussing MY concerns about content.
This is a place to discuss all sorts of things about the games, including content. As I said above which you ignored...."I don't think a warning of "explicit language" covers this type of issue". It isn't the "word" that I am most objecting to...(although I don't see how it has any place in a game)...but the context of it. There is no label for the type of context, ie. denigrating and objectifying of half the human race, that I saw.

I have every right to express my feelings about any game whatsoever and so does "pat" who also didn't see the warning. If I were praising this game you wouldn't be telling me to shut up and take it to the developers and big fish or that my comments had no place here. My comments are about the game and the general lack of concern of many game players (a comment in passing) just as I have concerns about my children's generation not caring about such things or seeming to even be aware of them...

your comments are about me, personally.
