Alchemy quest

For once I didn't try before buying, having never encountered download problems before however this game has to be the worst ever. I have downloaded, uninstalled and reloaded several times thinking it was my fault but to no avail. It is still very slow, the tutorial won't go away, and when I get to the first meeting with the gnomes the screen won't scroll, no gnomes appear and then the system freezes and the only way I can out of it is to use ALT, CONTROL + DELETE. Very frustrating and not at all what I expect from BFG. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so how did you solve it?

I have re installed and clicked on the tutorial all the way through and game now plays perfectly. thank you.
