Sinking Island, Syberia I and II have great story lines. Graphics are OUTSTANDING.
No "arcade" but not that simple either. relaxing and lots of fun.
Venice of the nancy drew series is very good but can be frustrating. Playing against the computer and trying to catch Nico might do you in. (suggestion: if some of these timed "arcade" sequences are killing you, try downloading cpuKIller.
Juell Quest 3 is just a relaxing game. Lots of varients added to keep it interesting.
I found most of the hidden object games repetative but the 13th skull is a must.

You are very welcome, and I hope you make many new friends here, and have a blast getting new games!
Ok Well my list is too long to go into why each one is a Favorite but I will try a few.
My #1 favorite IH0G/FROG is Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials, because it had a wonderful adventure feel to it. Plus I am very much an admirer of "Eye-Candy" crisp/clear graphics, and ambient background crickets, frogs, birdsong, wind,
rain, thunder, ect and this game has that with leaves blowing ect. Very good story also.
Mystery Trackers: The Void for the same reasons and for a jaw-dropping surprise when my character is on the cable car,LOL!
Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow ,because of the ,graphics and several of us ladies have confessed to getting a thrill from the Headless Horseman's deep voice! Long game.
Mystery In London because of the authentic photo quality London scenes, and the fun easy puzzles plus a great premise to the mysterious Jack The Ripper case(it is family safe,no gore). Long game.
Robin's Quest and Golden Trails are two of my favorites because of their fun-lighter themes, nice long playtime, too.
Settlement Colossus has awesome graphics in the H0 scenes with the wonderful ambient sounds and I really love the quests in this resource-management game. Long game.
(contd.....)

Wandering Willows (strategy/adventure)
The Island: Castaway(Strategy/Adventure)
Jack Of All Tribes( Sims/Builder/Resource Management)
Gemini Lost(Sims/Builder/Resource Management)
Great Adventure: Xmas Edition(strategy/adventure)
all the above, just because they are such fun to play(untimed TM Strategy games-or can continue if the time runs out), and lighter-themed than the mostly Dark-themed H0GS,plus much longer gameplay.
I think Puzzle Park is the most beautiful of the Match-3 games, and I enjoy working my way around the map of the park.
Simplz Zoo(Match-3/Builder) is fun to build your zoo.
Liong: The Lost Amulets(awesome Mahjong/HOG combo, love the bingo mini-game too)
must be seen and heard to be appreciated. It is totally soothing to play!

Hi again MZMZone,
I do have two more H0Gs and one more Sims/Builder/Resource Managent game waiting on my desktop to purchase. I did the demos and they are definite keepers.
The Treasures of Mystery Island: The Ghost Ship Really beautiful FROD/Adventure with an interesting story. I can't wait to get back to it.
Treasure Seekers: The Time Has Come I have and love the previous 3 Treasure Seekers games.
Treasure Seekers: Follow the Ghosts
Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases
Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold
all have beautiful graphics are fun to play and have interesting stories, plus I love these *inventory-driven* games where you use the items that you pick up.
The non-H0G game I intend to keep is The Timebuilders: Pyramid Rising. It is a very fun addition to this genre which is set in Egypt. I enjoyed it enough to consider it a *KEEPER*. Liked the graphics and music.
I am getting ready now to demo another of this type-The Timebuilders: Caveman's Prophecy, which is even a Large-File game!
Oh and if you like Match-3 games a recent purchase for me that I totally love is~ Robin's Island Adventure. I love the tropical steel drum music and the little dancing girl. Quitting is as hard as trying to put down a great book that you are totally absorbed in,LOL!
