I am having trouble using the wild cards, Sometimes the game lets me and sometimes not. I can't seem to figure out when they are able to be used and when they can't be. Any help would be appreciated, thanx.

I noticed that too. Finally decided it won't let you use it to start a run, only if it continues a run you're already in the middle of.

They aren't wild cards. They're what solitaire books (and, I should think, the BVS Solitaire Collection, also available from the ) call a reserve, available to play on the foundation any time according to the rules, whenever that will help you clear the board.

Now, a 2-card face-up reserve is certainly unusual among solitaires--I'm virtually certain that one persisting from deal to deal is unique!--but that's what it is by structure
