Cat in the tree

I set the ladder up under the tree. The cat came down and completely disappeared. However, the cat continues to meow, the owner is in the same position, and the prompt still says I need to help the kid with his cat. Is this a technical glitch, or is there something I need to do?

Sounds like a glitch to me. Once I set the ladder up, the cat came down and jumped in the kid's arms.

You may want to contact customer support to see if they can help you correct this.

Found it...it was in the inventory...had to be picked-up from the inventory & then given to the boy! Cheers!
