It's blue-screened on me twice already. Am getting pretty frustrated with BFG actually - so few time management games these days and then when we do get one, it doesn't play...

I am using Win7 with fully updated drivers and software on a top end gaming rig. I get a 7.7 Win Experience rating. The only games that ever crash this PC are BFG ones.

Sadface.

Update:
It did it again so support ticket with Dr Felix thingy submitted.

Hi Everyone,

If there's trouble with getting Gardens Inc. 3: A Bridal Pursuit Collector's Edition to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Game Compatibility

In some cases, we can provide a known solution for technical issues in the Forums. In addition, some of our tech savvy pond residents may also swim by with good tips and suggestions. However, we're unable to provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team. This is because the Forums are not well suited for the type of information-gathering and troubleshooting that's needed in order to correct issues of this nature.

If you're unable to get a game working properly using our Help pages or the tips posted here, please get in touch with our Customer Support team. You can find a link to contact Customer Support on the front page of our Help pages section.

Contacting Customer Support will help us to gather necessary information on what types of systems are being affected by the problem and to share this information with the developer in order to work towards a fix.

When posting in this thread and also when contacting Customer Support, it would be helpful if you could state what system you are playing the game on (i.e. PC, MAC or Mobile), so we can provide you with the appropriate support as quickly as possible.

*Finally, please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

I am using a Win7, 64-bit laptop with an ATI-Radeon graphic card, and the game downloaded and played just fine for me.

I am using Windows 8 and once I get to level 7the game restarts, losing my progress and my entire profile. This is frustrating to me since I wait for games like these to come and once I get one, this has to happen? There are not a lot of games like these to chose from anymore and that is a shame.

Error message for the developers - pops up at the end of Level 17

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object stack trace:
Creature.setAnimation(System.string animNan Creature +<WaitNextFrame>c_iteratorA.MoveNext()

You're missing a bracket - it's not me accidentally leaving it off!

I could continue - the error message just popped up over the level dialogue.

I keep getting "out of range" on my monitor and I have to reboot. How do I fix this? My drivers are up to date.

I got through the first 5 chapters and then it asked me to create a profile. I thought it might be because I purchased the game, so I started over. I got to level 10 and it did the same thing to me again. It looks like there are more levels to play. Is that not correct? If that is all there is to the game, I wasted $7.99.

I'm using a laptop with Windows 8.1. After 3 levels, I was thrown back to the main menu and asked to create a new profile. When I put in the same name I'd used, I was taken back to the next level - didn't lose my progress. However, I've now gotten the "null reference" error messages referred to by Janette5, overlaying the game screen, and with no way to close it. I was able to get to the menu button and choose Main Menu to close the level (and the error message), but then I had to create a profile again and was sent to the beginning of the game - my progress appears to have been lost.

I also beta tested this game and have been waiting for it, but this error is well beyond the point at which the beta version ended. I'll take Janette5's word as to the level number, since I couldn't access the map at that point. I believe it's the one with the lover's tree.

When I closed the BF Games thing and opened it again to see if it would let me back into the game, I found I had to start over. And when it threw me back to create a profile after level 3, it had once again lost my progress and wanted me to start over. I didn't have this problem with the beta test, so something must have changed since then.

Addendum 12/31 - I submitted a report to CS with a Dr Felix report attached, and today received a response telling me to try all the usual things (I already did), or that I could get a replacement game with the code they enclosed, or that I could respond to the email if I wanted to try troubleshooting the game. It also said I should submit a Dr Felix if I hadn't already. I've responded, telling them to look at the Dr Felix I sent in originally, but I'm not really encouraged by this answer.

I'm getting the feeling that there is more money in the mobile platforms and their online casino things, and that nobody is really concerned about maintaining the pc versions of games - for instance, they still sell the first Adelantado game for pc, even though many of us have reported that it no longer works properly on Windows 8 or 8.1. My belief is that either the games shouldn't be marketed for pc or they should be supported, period.

I purchased this game without trying it because I loved the other 2 in the series. However, like others here, I am unable to install it. I also have Windows 7 64 bit, everything's up to date, but won't install.
I tried installing the trial, and I am able to do that, and even play it, but it will not install the purchased game. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache, history, changing browsers, from firefox to chrome, but still will not install the purchased game.

Ok. Just let me say this first and foremost. I am NOT one to bash anyone or anything, but I DO have a few comments re tech issues and BFG. I apologize if I get snarky at any time.

I could not download this game. I have Window 7.

This is the 3rd game in as many days that I've had issues with a TGT. I have NOT had any problems with any other games I've been playing before and after those games. I have NOT had issues on any other gaming site. There was ONE TGT I had a major issue with at BFG AND another gaming site, so it was OBVIOUSLY .... THE .... GAME. I did all the usual troubleshooting. Won't go into details because I'm sure most of you know what the "story" is.

I DID, very nicely, contact BFG through an Incident Report for all 3 games. I received 2 replies thus far. Basically, this is what I was told by the Customer Service Rep.

1. (This is in reference to the game that I had issues with at another gaming site). It is NOT a BFG problem. It IS MY computer, or my graphics card or my anti-virus program (which is one of the top 3 in the world and which I purchased ... and do not use the free version). I should spend some time cleaning up my computer regularly to avoid these issues. (I do, monthly.) I should NOT submit separate tickets as it slows down the process and they are overloaded and behind (how can I do this when I get issues arbitrarily?). This person wanted the name of my anti-virus company so he/she could contact them personally (Uh. NO). They wanted me to submit a Dr. Felix Report (which I DID in the initial contact, along with a DiagDx Report). I was pretty much told to stop trying to get free coupons and get my computer looked at by a professional.

I can't say I was horrified by this response as this same individual (and perhaps his/her/its twin) give me the SAME snarky, unprofessional answer every time they get an Incident Report from me. ------

2. In response to a problem I was having with a game, that 44 others were apparently having, per the forum, I was told, again, it was most likely MY computer, my graphics card or my OS. I should follow the troubleshooting instructions contained within the response (which i had done before I submitted an IR and noted on the IR). I should send a Dr. Felix Report (which I did with the initial IR as well as a DiagDx Report).

I don't know what is going on at BFG but the Customer Service reps have gone from being helpful, courteous, professional and knowledgeable to snarky,

Glad I'm not alone in thinking CS has gone way down recently. Used to be spot on and helpful. I've not been able to play any games this Xmas because GM keeps logging me out (on Mac and 2 PCs) and no games will d/l or install. I've had to cancel my 6 year membership as I cannot play any of my games.

No solution offered, just a 'cheerio' email...sad as I love this game site...

Au revoir fishes

Hi I am running on windows vista with ATI Radeon X1270, I was able to download the game and start playing it however I cannot see the screen or game properly. Everything is pixelated and garbled looking. I was barely able to play the first couple of levels but could make out some of the picture, but by the next level it was impossible to see anything. Any suggestions? btw all of my drivers are up to date as well as adobe flash and I have DirectX 11. Thanks.

This morning I decided to try playing the trial all the way through, and then install it from the screen on the game manager when it tells you to buy it if you want to continue to play. At the bottom of that page, it says something like "purchase this game now, or reactivate it". I clicked on reactivate, and it started installing, then it got to 99% and told me there was an error code 1402. Went to BFG, looked up the code, and it says to sign out of the game manager. I looked and it said I was already signed out. Hmmm. So, I signed in, and nothing changed. Closed the game manager, and came back up. Still signed in. So, I signed out. Closed it down, brought it back up, signed back in, and THEN it let me install it! Installing now as I type. I hope this is the last of this issue.

****Finished installing****, going to play now. Hope all goes well, and maybe what I did will help someone else.

A few minutes later, and here I am again. *sigh

Clicked on play, and it immediately takes me to the screen in the game manager that says "Play Again. You own this game, play again". Clicked on it, and hourglass comes up for 20 seconds, then closes, but no game comes up. Nothing happens. Tried several more times, and nothing. Closed game manager, and decided to try clicking on the game icon on my desktop for the game itself. It brings back up the game manager instead of just opening the game, and then takes me to the same screen you get after you finish playing, just like how this paragraph started out. Same exact stuff happened again. About to try uninstalling and reinstalling again for the 3rd time. This time I'll check to make sure all of the game is gone, maybe some of the other files from the previous installs are lingering. I uninstalled directly from the game manager other times. I'll try doing it directly from my programs this time. Who knows, maybe it will make a difference. Fingers crossed.

****IT WORKED****
I signed out of the game manager, closed it down. Went to my programs on the computer, and uninstalled the game. Then did a search for Gardens Inc 3 and found a file, deleted it. Then just to be sure, cleared history and cache, on my browser, emptied recycle bin on desktop, restarted computer, opened up GM, signed back in. Went to purchase history, installed the game from there. No issues, and the game opened up, even kept my progress! So, am about to play now. Hope this helps someone else!

Cannot download this game

[Post New]by amminnc on Dec 28, 14 4:18 PM
As mentioned by a few others, I can't get this game to download. In fact, I haven't been able to get anything from BF to download in the past 3 days. I don't understand what would cause this. My computer is only 3 months old and everything is up to date. Wasn't having this problem at all until 3 days ago.

However, I do recall that I had the same or similar problem when the last Gardens game came out. I bought it but could never get it to work. BF gave me a credit.

Game Manager not working either!

[Post New]by amminnc on Dec 28, 14 4:24 PM
Oh, and my GM isn't working either. Can't get it to open at all.

Come on Big Fishies -- start being helpful. Look at all these users having similar issues. The problem must be on your end!
