we and laughed, played, and yearned to reach our goals
we swore that we would defeat our foe

But now that is done
And seeing how far we've come
My tears can't be tamed
Remembering out last few games

I'm not saying I regret it
No I'd never say that
But nostalgia can feel like a knife to your back
Part of me wants time to reverse
For our franchise to go back to the first
No fanbase lasts forever this I know
Technology changes as time goes
But that doesn't mean I'll be inactive
Ill always be a master detective

Prepare for tomorrow
For some fun
I'll never forget
I'll always remember
What it used to be and what it still is
Look here is our detective
So eager to stop the evil ones

Listen up cause it's not over
Our time has just begun

Now i see that every post is correct
You just have to know where to direct
Your attention for the theories to connect
We don't have to stop and don't need to compare
we can cherish our memories and continue as players

and look straight ahead but recall whats behind
And compose our ideas with what we can find

nice adaptation, Fargosis - that's originally the Cutie Mark Crusader song, isn't it?

Eeyup, two most followed fanbases at my school
Electrokaploson, and the other song is lullabye for a princess

I can get behind that, somewhat; except I'm pretty sure that, assuming we're dealing with an earlier timeframe than modern times, that there wouldn't be any nuclear plants nearby to cause a radioactive spill. I realize that's a big assumption, but there are indications that's approximately the timeframe the disaster or whatever it was occurred. I'm still leaning toward some kind of mining accident, for some reason; a lot of mining towns sprung up out of nowhere and faded just as quickly in the early years of the country; mining accidents and explosions caused thousands of deaths, etc. I can still get behind the idea of an earthquake exposing some naturally occurring radioactive material, thereby poisoning the nearby town. If you get sufficient exposure to radioactive material, you can sicken and die in a matter of hours, so it could still fit the timeline of the town being abandoned or dying off overnight.

Gah, I need more information!!! Picman, Hondo, where are you?????

Hi bri_rose1978. Your theory "if you get sufficient exposure to radioactive material, you can sicken and die in a matter of hours, so it could still fit the timeline of the town being abandoned or dying off overnight" is very interesting to me. If it isn't too much trouble would you mind explaining your scientific reasoning how this could be possible within the games timeline as this is fascinating to me. I do look forward to hearing your theory and thank you in advance for your reply.

Thanks for telling me. And once again I'm glad he's feeling better. A sick baby is no fun and I'm speaking from experience as an older sister.

LOL - age has nothing to do with playing mcf (and most of us in this forum would be well over 30!)

O.K. I am just going to put my theory of the game out there. I think Shadow Lake is an old mining town where a mining disaster happened like an explosion, fire or cave-in. The ghost crew are investigating reports of the area being haunted and then something happens...not quite sure what yet...and the MD is sent to find the rest of the ghost crew who have disappeared.

The is up and I'm off to work. Hope everyone has a lovely day today! May all the sick fishies be on the mend. I've had a hideous cold and am just coming out the other side of it after 10 days! Purplerabbit glad to hear your little boy has improved. My 2 sons and DH someone avoided my cold.

I'll finish the puzzle tonight and check out the second one.

Hondo

I got up at 4:30am to swill some cough medicine and couldn't resist a quick peek at the thread on my phone of course. Was laid up in bed grinning like some giddy lovesick teen when I saw you had quoted me. After 4+ years in the pond I'm pretty sure you are the first mod who has. I'm not too proud to say it made me feel pretty special

Good evening fishies! I'm happy to see that the jigsaw puzzle clue was solved (mwahaha). Anyway, Hondo wrote in his post that he would be back later to answer some questions, and the facebook countdown hasn't changed to 11 yet, so I'm optimistic about seeing another clue before the day is over. I've been enjoying all the speculation about the facebook poster, especially since my hurried first glance at it lead to me believing the young boy was holding a shovel (I couldn't have been farther off). I'm hoping that shadow lake will have some dialogue like the 13th skull, and Rube Goldberg puzzles!

Edit- Thanks Dogmama, lol spellcheck!
