TGT Virtual Families

[Post New]by govegril on May 6, 09 4:28 AM
I have never played any of the other "virtual" games. I did buy this though not sure if I am going to enjoy it yet.

Reviews have not all been good and I can see why, watching paint dry might be just as entertaining at times. I think there must be lots more to the game that I am just not getting yet.
My peeps do not want to work, have babies or do much really other than laundry and putting away groceries.

I started another family and try switching between the two but I guess I do not get the virtual part. You can have them sleeping and come back 2 miniutes or 20 minutes later and they are up and wandering around still exhausted. They don't seem to continue what you left them doing- and watching them sleep for 10 minutes is not much fun.

I guess there is a big learning curve to the nuances of this game. So far I am not doing so well.

I like the game, even tho not as good as the other virtual games. But does anyone know how to put the "Oven Fire" out? I can't find a fire extinguisher.????

rebacin, I've heard the item shows up in the store, although i haven't seen it there, you need to open the shed.( check your pm's for the way to open the shed)

Seems people love or hate this game. I want to like it and guess it is going to take me some time to get into it.

Those that are enjoying it, do you have any tips how to play this game, esecially for those things that you really lilke about it?

I agree with some of you,..there must be something I'm missing. The lint in the dryer is on fire,....no water,..no fire extinguisher,....I've spent 15 minutes of my demo wandering around trying to find a way to put out a fire! I'm not finding a hint or tip button to click on. Not sure I'm going to buy this one, unless I find what I'm "missing" in the next 20 min of play time!

I'm having the same problem with my oven fire. It just won't go out, all they do is stand there and wave at me!!

okay this is my first post but i am playing the demo as we speak and so far i like it. yes it is a bit slow going and not as good as the virtual villagers games but i think that might be because there aren't as many people to deal with.

I will be buying the full game (as soon as i get paid myself, apparently virtual money doesn't work in the real world LOL) and i'm sure i will be back often to ask for help

I demo-ed the game a few weeks ago and did get really into it. I had the same problem with the oven fire but I did not resolve it during the hour trial, so I do not have any pointers. I did not do the hour trial all in one sitting and my people would get up from sleeping and do various other things. It would be great if there was a "free will" button to turn on and off. I love simulation games so I've been looking forward to buying this from BFG!

Hi miss azz- have you put the door knob on the shed first? They wont find the key until you do that.

I think it does continue on it's own, but there is a "pause" button in the options menu. I used it during my demo because I have a tendency to forget about those little guys...

Hi Dom - Well my peep did it after dropping him on the sink repeatedly. He finally went to the workshop and got a tool and fixed it- but I cannot tell you what finally made him decide to do that????????????

you can drop them near the sink to see the leak and then near the toolbox in the workshop to get the wrench. to get it done faster.
