voyage - repeiring that %$#$@ flute

Anyone - HEEEEELLLLLP!! I've combined the reeds, Made the glue & combined that plus the broken flute. According to all hints/cheats/etc. that's all I need but----- in the combination window it wants ? +?+? = ?+?. To make matters worse, if I put the flute & reeds in, it won't accept the glue, if I put the glue & flute in it won't accept the reeds. If any of you out there have any compassion for a fellow fishie I know you'll come running to my aid before the mouse & monitor wind up getting combined I may have mentioned this earlier but, Please HELP. Thanks

You might want to check out the Voyage Forum under all Game Forums. I've played this game but it was so long ago that I don't remember. Fun game and I hope you figure it out. There is also a website that gives gentle hints for all adventure games. It's nice because you can get help if you're stuck but they don't spoil the fun by telling you the answer (well unless you really really want it) Type Universal Hint System into your search engine and hopefully you'll find it.

Actually, it's time for a little confession here (and maybe something to remember in future adventure games). I didn't realize that once you made the glue, grease, etc. that they would be unlimited in their use. So, trying to plan ahead, I made 2 batches of the glue, knowing I would need it for something else. (Great idea, right? I'm going to save some steps later in the game -- WRONG!) For some reason the game wouldn't accept the glue because I had an extra in inventory. I found this out by going to a previous save before I made the glue and bingo! it worked fine. Moral of the story -- don't be a putz & play the game at it's own speed. Thanks to those who replied so quickly - VERY nice pond we have here!
