No matches - lose points?

[Post New]by OrionsRose on May 11, 09 5:24 PM
I'm having a problem with the Hawaiian game but it occurred to me it might be a normal Slingo thing I just never realized before. If, when you spin, you end up not getting any matches, do you lose points?

Hiya orionsrose! No you do not lose any points. Also if you do not reach all the goals you can replay the level. However there are certain goals that must be met for some before you can move on.

Thanks for clarifying...guess that's not why I'm losing points in Slingo Hawaii. But if anyone in this forum can answer my question in the Slingo Quest Hawaii forum that would be awesome!

don't know why you would lose points. Unless you hit the devil then you would. If the devil appears then he sometimes will take half/third/etc of your points. Thats the only way i can think of. I have the game and played all the way through it. The only other part is when you are competing against the pirate. Then if you get unlucky with a treasure chest you could also lose half your points.

The devil appears at the bottom and under numbers on the board (only occurs on certain levels).

although the cherub can appear and save you from the devil.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate the replies goldpig but unfortunately the devil is not the problem. I don't know how to link my post about my problem with SQH in here but I'm sure it's easy to find if you're interested.
I've been playing Slingo for years and never noticed a problem in other versions but this SQH that I just got (for free from another site) is bewildering. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for the issue but I hoped I could appeal to other BFG folks for some advice. Maybe I just got a bad version. I sorta hoped it was just a Slingo thing I'd never noticed before. I can't say I'd ever paid that much attention to my score while a round was going on so I figured I might have just missed something that was actually normal for the game.

Maybe a glitch. I dunno. Think I'll have to play to figure it out.

Another way your points go down is when you get to the last 4 spins of the game: if you don't have all 4 of the :Free Spins", you have to 'pay' a percentage of your accumulated points. If I remember right, Spin #17 costs 10%; #18 = 20%; #19 = 30% & Spin #20 - your final spin will cost you 40% of your total points for that game: that's why it's best - if you have received any "Free Spins" - to save them for your last spins - so it doesn't cost you so much: pay for the first ones as they are cheaper.
My mother got me hooked on this game - the Original Slingo - years back - on Slingo.com ... lol so I learned a lot from that site back then... you might want to check it out: might have more detailed help on there... I personally hope they get more of the Slingo games ...
Hope this helps someone out

That definitely wasn't the problem I was having but maybe it'll help someone else.
Thanks though generousgem3.
