Game saves disappear

[Post New]by Don38 on Jul 31, 08 8:11 PM
I have restarted this game at least 4 times. When I exit, I am asked if I waqnt to save my progress. I always click "yes". When I come back the next day, the game save is gone and I have to start over. What am I missing her? I've also redownloaded and reinstalled. Same result, no game save.

I am having the exact same issue Don38. I plan to contact BFG support tomorrow, would probably be a good idea for you to do the same. I'll post back when I recieve an answer from them.

I have contacted Live Support once already. They told me to unistall the game and then run the install from the Big Fish web site. I have done that and the result is the same. I will wait for Kassy 481 to repost to see if she got a result that works. Thanks for the input! I love this game, but no game save is the pits.

Hi again. I have yet to contact support but have found a work-around. Create a name, go into the 1st tournament, play a hand & then leave the table. Exit back to the main menu & select "other player" , set up a new name ( keeping the old one ). Now when you exit both files will be there when you return. I tested this several times & seems that if there is ony one player name.....the game doesn't save but works every time w/ 2 or more names, even w/ a reboot. Hope this helps.
Happy gaming, kassy481

Hi, just wanted to let you know my work-around didn't work I went to play the game yesterday & my saved files were gone again. I contacted BFG support via live chat ( GREAT people!) tried their suggestion but alas still no luck So I'm throwing in the towel on this game, it has gotten beyond frustrating lol.
Don38 if you are still having this issue also, contact support again. The great people there will issue you a game credit
Happy gaming & Kudos to the great people at

the profiles are being deleted because you use some program (like CCleaner) that deletes certain temporary Flash Files

for CCleaner , you can select not to delete those files by clicking on the Applications tab >>> and then deselecting Adobe Flash Player (under Multimedia)

also check the "Useful Guide for Saved Profiles" discussion in the Governor of Poker forum for another solution regarding this issue

Just to back up the post listed above. That is exactly what happened to me. I had built up my profile and after using CCleaner my profile was gone. At least I know that is what is happening. Very frustrating.

has anyone ever gotten a "fix" for this problem? I am having the very same issue....won't save progress once I leave the game.

I figured it out (was having the same issue). This is a Flash game. Therefore it's trying to save using Flash, which lots of people have disabled by default.

Go to this website to configure your storage settings:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

There will be a Flash program that loads up that lets you configure storage settings. You need to allow the website "local" to have more storage space. Mine was set to Never. I changed it to Unlimited (I'd bet 10MB would be ok too).

I loaded up the game and it was suddenly saving correctly. Easiest way to check is to create multiple profiles (players). Before you create another new one, you'll see the list of previous players. That means it's actually saving.
