chest in tent in riddle of the sphinx

i have the combination but cannot get the chest to open . How does it open?

the pakage for the lock is in a box in the tent. if you look at the back, the instructions tell you what to do. it doesnt work like a regular lock. make sure you line it up perfectly, or else it wont work.

Am also struggling with lock...where is combo? Is it the one that says R 6:10 etc....? If so, how do you go to that #? Thanks...

Nice to know I'm not the only one who's having problems with that *&%@@!!! combination lock. I must have my stupid cap on today because I cannot for the life of me figure out that out. I NEED HELP - WHAT IS THE FRIGGIN' COMBINATION?

the combination refers you to a bible verse, like 6:10. Look it up in the bible stored on the shelf in the tent

The numbers 6:10 refers to the book of Numbers in the bible. The piece of paper in the wallet tells you what chapters and verse to get the answer. The cassette tapes tell you what to add together from the bible passages to get the combination. When you get the lock open, don't forget to open the latches on either side of the lock.

i have been listening to the tapes and going to the spot the w/t says but i only hear 1 tape about 30 years refering to the 3 tapes and also having trouble with chrst lock. can someone send me a saved game to get by the lock, please. thanks

I got into the box, thanks to the help offered here in the forum. And we found a couple more scrolls. But we are stumped as to how to use the scrolls we found to further our progress in the game... this is a really challenging one. Is there any possibility of dropping some clues... those of you who have gotten a little further in the game?

I"ve done the lock over and over. Yes, the latches are open and yes, I've been careful to exact. Still the D&*% lock will not open. Any idea's????
