I too am looking forward to trying this one out, but that is for another day. It's after midnight here and I must take my bottom to bed.

Objects are VERY small or hidden too well.
Mini games Ok. Nothing too exciting.
Fixing up the junk to make it look good is kinda boring for me.
Doesn't look like a very long game except for the hours trying to find the small HO's.
I checked "Full Screen", but it only filled 3/4 of my screen.

I am going to wait for more reviews before I buy. Right now, it's a no-go. I already decorated 3 rooms in an hour.... not many rooms left.

Scotcat your back. So nice to see you here. You were missed so much. Hope all is ok.

I am downloading and will play later today. I don't like things that are so small I have to put nose to screen. I made that mistake in the Civil War game. I tried to play that one again and got so frustrated that I quit and deleted the game. I'll give this one a try and see what it's like

Very simplistic HO game. Mini games were so easy it felt like a waste of time. Many small items but didn't think they were too small. Didn't care for all the popup's of conversation and "lucky finds" because I didn't feel it added any value to the game. Concept is good but fixing up the "treasures" is very easy ... no options, didn't really add anything to the game. You can hunt for star's to get extra hints. But I only needed 1 hint through fixing 3 rooms. Stars are very small and can be tricky to find. In one place it's the word. Graphics are good, didn't seem fuzzy. Can't comment on music as I played mute so I could listen to Olympics. It was nice to have a new HO to play but not one I'll buy. Happy Gaming everyone.

Hi Scotcat, good to see you again. And Good Morning! to everyone else. it's great to see you too but not as rare.

I'm bummed that this game isn't getting terrific reviews. Of course I'll be checking it out but I was hoping for something to get me through until this dry spell ends. Oh well, even the hour demo of a not-so-great HO is enough to make my day.

I tried the game last, played it for an hour, as a matter of fact.
My opinion is pretty much the same as scotcat's (as always ) - I won't buy it unless I get real desperate.
Items are too small, it's somewhat boring, mini games are worthless, fixing up the stuff is a waste of time or , as we used to say at work, non-value added.
It's not a bad game, could be a time killer, but no great shakes.
Could it be that we're just spoiled???

Ditto on trying this at another site. I, too, found it boring, the mini-games a waste of my time, and I wasn't interested in fixing stuff. Especially when I have enough real stuff around the house that needs fixing.

I was bored the day I tried this demo and thought what the heck. Give it a go. I tried to get through the entire hour but gave up. When a game has me yawning and wishing for a heavily poured cocktail... it's a no purchase game for me.

Well, I'll put in my two cents on this game. Tried the demo, and it did hold my attention. The mini games were a little weak, but the I liked the HO portion. Actually, I think this is one I might purchase. Graphics were good and the different locals were entertaining. By no means the best HO out there, but I thought it was above average.

Actually, I'm glad I read the reviews before I played the demo. I think it made me enjoy it more because it wasn't as bad as I expected. Cute story, interesting graphics, fun characters and all that. The mini-games got a bit frustrating, especially the cutting and slicing part. Guess my hands are shakier than I thought.

But after the demo was over, I went and re-download The Scuffs. Same sort of thing, funny characters, slightly goofy, simple mini-games but way more fun. And waaaayy less squinting. You guys weren't kidding about those tiny objects!

You're right Timekilla--sometimes if you expect little or nothing out of a game it surprises you! Much better than those where you think it is going to be great and you are disappointed!!!

Btw--just looked at my email and the review at the g site for this game is quite good--rated 4 1/2 stars!

I hope there's more to it than the rooms we see. Not sure what exactly I think might be there, but that can't be it. I bought it with a coupon I had and I like it alot. But I am gonna be so-o-o dis-appointed if that's all there is to it!

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd let you know that I've moved this discussion over to the forum for Yard Sale Hidden Treasures: Sunnyville.

Happy gaming!

I pretty much have to agree with everyone here. I bought the game and completed the first game on night one. There is also a Yard Sale Tour you can play once you've decorated the home.

I thought the HO part was similar to Civil War too but the objects were a bit easier to find in Yard Sale. The idea behind repurposing (sp?) found items into usable decor is good but the execution sucks. The 100% complete after every step was boring and totally redundant. Also, I would have liked an option to play the game a second time without having to go thru the crafting scenarios.

I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars just because the crafting steps could have been executed better.

Confession time. I have almost every HO game out there. I love to buy them from Big Fish because, as a member, I only pay $6.99, the games last more than two hours and I'm hard pressed to find a movie that gives me that much entertainment for $7. Plus almost everyone of them has replay-ability which I can't say about many of the films I've watched.

One is in the tree and another is by the cauldron on the basement wall almost in center of the screen.
