I don't have Cake Mania, just Cake Mania 2. The easiest way to make sure you make plenty of money is to start buying the toppers as soon as you can afford them. These add at least $10 to the price of each cake. A cake with a topper takes longer to make, but the customer's reduced tip is more than made up by the increased cake cost. Also make sure you have cookies and TV to keep the customers happy. Better shoes help you move faster so you serve the customers faster.

Nannyk23--I found that you can repeat months to try to get a better star rating and it also willgive you more money to carry over to another month.
