There's Rise of Atlantis and Call of Atlantis--I think both were created after Quest and they made improvement on these two. In both when you match 4 or more tile they go into a "power up" and once it is full, you can press it and it'll wipe out a bunch of tiles, often the ones you want to get rid of. And powering up happens pretty fast so you can repeat the mass wipe outs. Also, when you acquire the "add time" tool, it actually adds a reasonable amount of time (unlike Curse which only gives you like 3 seconds' worth of additional time, not even enough sometimes to grab your mouse again). One of the other tools is a lightening bolt which, when you click on a specific tile will wipe out the same type of tile on the board. There's a tool that looks like a bomb which will wipe out tiles surrounding whichever tile you click on. And there's this "switch" tool which allows you to switch the place of any two tiles on the board, they don't even have to be near each other. They also improved the accuracy when you try to move tiles--I'm having a lot of trouble with Curse because I'll try to move tiles side-to-side but the game will move the tiles vertically instead (it cheats!). I've actually been able to "win" both games, after a bunch of tries of course but at least you don't feel it's impossible to win and actually is fun. I go back and replay these two games a lot.
