sherlock holmes and the mystery of the mummy

can someone please tell me why sherlock keeps dying, what did i do wrong, i am in the room with the floor that moves, but every time i try to do it, he keeps dying, should i have done something before this to keep him alive, or am i the first person to kill sherlock holmes

Hi and welcome to the Pond. I haven't played this game...have it, but haven't played it. I just wanted to say welcome and tease you about killing Sherlock. I hope someone comes along and helps you out.

I had the same problem, but I had it in the next room with the bathtub/water bucket puzzle. I read the strategy file and it says that AFTER you complete the water buckt puzzle, there is a timed section so to save your game. The only problem is that it will not allow me to resume unless I log out of my computer, and then sometimes I cannot return to the game. I get a black screen. It's so frustrating. I don't think I will ever play this game again...of course that is after I ever complete it.
