Hi msblueyes, Here are the contents of the read me file the game mentioned:

GENERAL TIPS
Look carefully at everything! The solution you're looking for may very well be hiding under that last stone that you left unturned. Half the fun of an adventure game is exploration, and if you don't examine your surroundings thoroughly, you may never finish the game without help. You may find some things or puzzles early in the game, although they are not possible to interact with or to solve until much later in the game.

PERFORMING ACTIONS
During the game, your character (Carol) can perform all sorts of different actions. The mouse cursor automatically changes depending on what the character can do at the moment. An open hand, for instance, means that you can pick something up, or touch it, while a magnifying glass means that you can examine something more closely. A gearwheel icon means that you can use an inventory object on it. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have found the object yet, however.

MOVING AROUND
To make Carol look to the right or to the left, just move the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen until it changes to an arrow. Press the left mouse button and the screen will change. To walk forward, press the left mouse button while an arrow pointing forward is displayed. In some cases, you can examine an object in close up view. To back out of these screens, look for an arrow pointing backwards at the bottom of the screen.

THE INVENTORY
During the game, you will pick up lots of items. These items are stored in your inventory. To display the inventory, move the mouse cursor to the top of the playing area of your screen. Hold the mouse cursor over a certain object to see a description of it. To examine an inventory object closely, drag the magnifying glass at the left of the inventory over the object, OR drag the object over the magnifying glass. Remember to view all items that you pick up this way. Looking closely at some items is necessary to complete the game. To use an object in the game, drag the object to the playing screen using the left mouse button. You can only use an object on a gearwheel icon. You can also combine two objects. You do this by simply dragging one object over another.

THE BY-PASS FEATURE
The more difficult puzzles in the game can be skipped, using the by-pass feature. When encountering a puzzle that you find too difficult, just move the mouse to the upper right corener of the screen, until the cursor changes

It might be in the game's folder. That's where they often hide out.
Try looking in Program Files/Time Stand Still.

Hi all - Time Stand Still is a game to stroll through and enjoy. There are no prizes for finishing it fast in fact that is not the aim. I have played all MDNA's games and am eagerly anticipating the next, due in October I think - ooh My birthday's in October. I want to go to Norrkping.

Hi; I'm nearly at the end of the game - at the docks. But, I can't find the pylon!?
Can anyone help?

I just realized I'm probably asking the question in the 'wrong' place. Sorry about that. I do appreciate the instructions, though. Thank you.

I am stuck at squeaky floor in hidden room. Checked every room, every area, Katrina not available, no one to call. What am I suppose to be looking for and how do I find it? Anything, please. Been at this spot for over a week.

I bought the game, but I'm not impressed with the interaction between the people. I've played lots of games like the Nancy Drew Mysteries and with them you can hear what the people say or at least follow along and she can ask questions. This one is just weird. It kind of takes the fun out of the game for me. Just my opinion of course. I usually love your games so guess I'll just try to finish this one and look forward to the next ones.

Hi Rosy2- welcome to the forums. It is lacking in that aspect, I also think the graphics leave a little to be desired, but it has some decent puzzles. Not as difficult as the other two Carol Reed games. But, since most large file games in the outside wold are shoot-'em ups- I'll play what ever I can get my hands on.

While this game is classified as a large adventure file game, it seems from reading here that the format is not typical of the games I am used to such as the Nancy Drew series of games. Is this game simply one of finding required objects to place in inventory for puzzle solving? It almost sounds like a hidden object game in disguise. Any input anyone?

Hi greekgeek- Not a hidden object game, but some items are difficult to find. You need to complete puzzles and speak with people. It's very linear- some locations and items will not appear until you have done other things.

Sorry I missed this post earlier

When you hear the squeak, look down. Pull up the rug and you will see the floor boards. You will need the crowbar. You will get the crowbar after you find the gardener fishing. Hope this helps

Thank you for responding. Have checked for gardener everywhere. Where is he hiding? Must be something else I need first. Ideas? Still stuck.
