I haven't done cross-stitching for a few years now - eyesight gets in the way. I loved doing it and have made several items. I also did a lot of plastic canvas. Crocheting was also a passion. I made so many afghans - I wish I had made a scrapbook of them all. All the different patterns and colors.
I made an afghan for our kids school auction one year. I was creamy white squares with a beautiful shade of red roses in the middle of each square. And it was big...It brought in $550 at the auction.
I taught crocheting for my daughter's 4-H club and have entered several of my projects in fairs, etc - have a box full of ribbons. But all that was at a different time....now I read and play games - which is great too because of all of you.

Hi Kgm.....I have a question for you.....
I used to do ceramics way back around 1969. Then we were stationed in England, so I
don't believe this greenware is from 1969 but I know it's pretty old. I have been carting it around for years. It is a big bowl (the kind with the pitcher) and a big church......I have not wanted to throw them away.....do you think they can be still worked on and made into finished items? Nutty huh? I just couldn't get rid of them and always thought I'd do them, but never got around to it and now, here it is over 30 years later and I still have them!!
I know....nutso!!!

Well I'll join in. I'm am a crafter. I have to have something going at all times. I scrapbook, rubber stamp, quilling, drawing, painting, beading, love to make jewelry, make soap, candles, etc. You name it, I've either done it or want to. I have scroll saw that is waiting for me to get a table, so I can try that. Did plastic canvas, xstitch, crochet, knitting, tatting, ceramics, etc. It's what I love to do to keep my mind focused and sharp, my hands busy and steady. Going to try sewing since I just got a sewing machine for christmas. I just love everything. But now I'm trying to cut down on the number of crafts I do so I can get better. I kept crochet, knitting, cardmaking and jewelry. Still scrapbook, but it's for me only. Everything else I do for others.
