I pursonally use a Logitech G5 Laser Mouse "The Gamer's Choice" (at least according to the box ) It has 3 speeds (which are programmable) for your cursor and you can just click through them, slow, med, and fast. I had to do this on Azada 2 I remember, as well as this one. It also has 2 extra programmable buttons besides the usual 2 (so far only use those in World of Warcraft) and the click on the wheel. It also came with a set of weights you can put into a little recepticle beneath, but I think that's getting a bit nuts qand I like my mice(?) very light so don't use them.
If you google "gamer mouse" you'll see lots of places to check many out. I highly recommend reading reviews a Cnet or wherever. And expect to pay some money. Oh, another thing, don't play games with wireless if any kind of response time is needed.

did not like this one at all...
only played 15 mins of it - couldn't take anymore.
didn't really like the way it looked either.
I didn't even play that long, really didn't like the looks of it, lost interest quickly.

Thank you so much! It sounds VERY cool! And even if it's pricey, well, my husband can never figure out what to get me for Christmas.
You know, I'm playing ALL my games on a wireless laptop! So that's causing some of the slowness, you think? The thing is, I can't play on a regular PC since I can't sit for any length of time -- had a collapsed fracture of the spine a while back, and although it healed, I have pain if I sit too long. I play games on my laptop lying in bed with my knees propped up in the approved back support position.
I suppose this laptop could be set up to work without wireless... I will ask my son, who's a computer professional.
Thanks so much for that tidbit of information -- it could be even more helpful than the gamer mouse! (Although I think I WANT one of those regardless!)
Gosh, everyone here is SO helpful! It's great to find this place. I've been a BF Game Club subscriber for more than a year and never knew about the forums until recently (well, I guess they didn't exist in this format until recently anyway).
Cheers,
Minxs

Actually, I was just looking for the solution to the same puzzle! Maybe I'll have the same luck when I try again, but just in case.....HELP!!! ......................never mind. That's too weird, I spent quite a bit of time before I finally decided to check the forum, and then BOOM it hit me on about the third try what I had to do, after I asked for help. You must be good luck cjarrett!
Oh, and I am loving this game! Already bought it!

My wife and I just started playing this game, we have only completed 2 levels and found it an interesting game but the puzzles seem like very difficult. I had problems with using the punch card but eventually figured it out. the key to solving this is to get the code book from the library using the correct colour sequence and then getting the code and then punch it in on card. It looks like it will get even more difficult but we are going to try playing the entire game, hopefully we will not lose our sanity trying. You will probably see me asking for assistance quite a bit. One last thing I did not have any computer problems so far. I suggest that anyone having a computer problem with a game they should check the system requirements for the game. I also had a video card installed in my computer and now I have no problems playing any games. Not trying to be sarcastic only helpfull.

Mysteryne1, have you worked with the BF tech support to see if they can address the problems you're having? I'm sorry you are running into so much difficulty with the games you want to play.
mysteryne1 wrote:[b] THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!! JUST LIKE THE PERSION CARPET. MATA HARI PLAYS FINE FOR THE DEMO, I BUY IT, AND NOW THE MOUSE IS SO ERRATIC AND SLOOOOWWW THAT I CAN'T GET TO READ THE FILE CODE EVEN IF I KNEW HOW!!!!! PERSIAN CARPET DID THE SAME THING AFTER I RE-INSTALLED IT BUT I'M FROZEN IN LIMBO AT THE CEMENT FACTORY NOW. I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY BOTH OF THESE GAMES.
ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS? YOU WOULD THINK WITH SO MANY OF US HAVING THIS DILEMA THAT BFG OR FROGWARES WOULD ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. HELP, PLEEEAAASSEEE!!!!!!!

To read files and bits of paper you`ve picked up that help solve puzzles you have to put cursor over the file/paper icon in bottom right corner then double click it
I found this game a bit boring, the decoder games were a bit too repetitive compared to amount of gameplay inbetween I ended up just moving mouse around screen waiting for cursor to twinkle rather than actually searching for items it was at that point i switched it off

midnight1864 wrote:Hi Poodlebear I have played 30 mins of demo & cant figure out how to read the file?? I have all the items, it says the punch code is in the folder, How do I open it?? I do think it has nice graphics, I also am runing vista & have not had any problems with viewing game. Just doesnt explain what to do very well. Can you help please?? Thank you
Have you dragged the found folder to the shelf with a lot of folders that look like it? There's a puzzle you must solve there to swap the one you find loose in the room (a dummy folder as it were) with the one with the actual code. When you solve that puzzle the folder pops open and shows you the patern to punch the card.

Hard puzzles??? Oh, YES!! Bring them on! I will now go download this one!
As to wireless mice, I have a Logitech Performance Laser, and I like it a lot. I don't play the big MMOs or the RPGs, but I am a Luxor ADDICT, and I am very, very good at it. My wireless mousie works very well on all those speed shots. I bought it at Office Depot, and it cost around $65. There is a difference between a wireless optical mouse (not so good) and a laser mouse (much better). There are a lot of different resolutions with optical and laser mice, and the higher resolutions will have better reaction times, but you will pay for it.
Yes, we all have different tastes, for sure. It's a good thing, too. Keeps the game developers on their toes, LOL!

You're very welcome Rent glad I could help. And with a laptop you can do anything you want on it just like a desktop. No different. When you run your laptop with no wires just watch the battery icon lol. God knows I went into the danger zone a few times on mine. Forgot I didn't have it plugged in and then seen the little yellow triangle warning sign on my battery icon. I use a wireless mouse all the time. I hate wire mouses because the stupid wire just gets in my way. And me being in a semi the less wires the better. But I have to agree Logitech makes the best mouses out there. It takes a good couple years for one to kick the bucket on ya. Me personally I enjoyed this game. Short side but all in all a good game. Like I said I don't compare games to RTR. But like someone said gamemakers are starting to look at RTR and hopefully they will start following suit. I am tired of these games it takes one day to beat. Just makes me not one to play to begin with. Also makes me feel that the game companies think "Well, I got their money to heck witht he quality or length. BFG did a superior job with RTR. If anyone hasn't finished RTR be sure to watch the end credits for a good laugh. You'll see why. Happy gaming.

I played it up to the punch card .When it first started I could not see my cursor on the game but clicked anyway and game moved forward but could not figure out how to open the file with the punch code in. I did click on it with the puzzle piece. It sparkled ut did not do anything else then my screen minimized itself. I finally uninstalled it after 5 mins. I have vista
