Tips and Tricks for Virtual Villagers: The Secret City

OK, all the posts for this are very old, but I'll give it a shot! I am having trouble with the weather dance. I have the chief and 3 farmers at the fire when it rains. If you click on any of them it says they are doing the dance.

However, my puzzle says I haven't achieved it and I am still wondering what I will get when they do it.

You do the weather dance when it's not raining. They must be Master Farmers. You will know you are doing it correctly when little sparkles show up around their feet.

Doing the weather dance will make it rain!!

For the weather dance - you need three Adept Farmers and your Chief. (If anyone is sick, the Chief will wander off, so make sure everyone is healthy first.)

You do NOT need Level 3 Alchemy to make any of the potions. However, at Level 1 there is a better than even chance that any potion will blow up and injure your Scientist. Level 2 Alchemy has better odds of success, I think mine have been about 75% success, but sometimes potions will blow up several times in a row. If you're having this problem, some Lotus-Lotus-Cactus potion will restore a lot of health points for your villagers. Assuming it doesn't blow up too.

When the game starts, the lift is in pieces. It requires Level 2 Restoration and 3 Adept Builders to repair. After that, whenever it rains, if you place an adult villager (anyone, you can even use your Chief for this) on the lift platform, when the bucket fills with rain, a piece of fruit will "fall" from the cliff.

please someone help me. My food doesn't last long. enough. My Tribes have died twice now. What should I do after the honey runs out.

As far as I know, you must plant the three fruit trees... you can obtain the fruits (seeds) to be planted when you already repair the broken LIFT... when it rains, put one of your adult villager on the lift... when the rain water fills the bucket on the other side, it will lift your villager to the tree, then a fruit will fall, let your villager take that fruit he will plant it, but you can only plant 3 trees (different kind)... So watch out for 3 consecutive rains... through this you should plant those trees...

Then wait (it will take a little bit longer), it will give you fruits...

Moreover, be watchful for mushrooms, collect them all, it helps...

BUT DONT GROW YOUR POPULATION SO BIG UNTIL YOU CLEARED THE SEA WITH THOSE SHARKS ... Until then, it will give you a unlimited supply of food...

I used to play with my villagers all the time! Then I went on a two week vacation during a food chrisis then came back and they were all dead! Plus I totally forgot how to do all the puzzles!

Can someone tell me how to get the sun disc please.

OK,
I've figure out the sun disk (pause game and drag a couple of villiagers onto the disk 2m & 2f).
But, when does the game ends. After you find all the collectables? Getting very frustrated, please help.
Oh! when does the villiagers venture out to other parts of the island? Behind the bath I see something like stairs, but they can go on there. Any advice will help. Thanks!

The VV series is an "open ended " game - meaning as long as you have several doctors and fisherpeople, your village will continue to play. The only way to end your village is to stop having children and allow your villagers to all age and die off, or get a catastrophic event or delete.
Many people choose to start a new game at a higher difficulty level, with a different faction and employing different stratagies to build another thriving village.
Unfortunately, there are no hidden avenues to access unexplored parts of the island.
The good news is that VV4 is scheduled for release in the latter part of 2009 and the developers are hard at work finishing their newest endeavor "Virtual Families" slated for release near the end of this years' first quarter (I've got my fingers crossed for March 31 ).

Hi I can do most of everything babies research etc but for some reason I cant get them to collect the honey no matter how many times I try. Please help. Sorry Im new at this game.

hey guys, i always run out of food. everytime i start playing, some of my villagers are already dead because of starvation. what do i do? do you pause the game whenever you are not playing?

Get one of the villagers to light an torch they will sit it near the hive and the smoke will calm the bees. Good Luck

Have a master builder pick up the pearl, and he'll take it to the waterfall. After that, have the tribal chief pick it up and take it to the clam out in the reef, and he'll swap the two pearls. But how do you rebuild it

I guess I need alot of help here. I cannot follow all the directions because I am still new...very new. I can get the youngest members to pick up things (mushrooms and things for the scientist) but haven't a clue what to do to get my villagers to do anything else. I do not have enough points nor do I know how to get them. Can anyone help me or direct me somewhere to get more intensive help. Thanks in advance.

Can someone help this newbe to the game? I am having a heck of a time trying to get the kids to do anything. I can get the younger ones to pick up mushrooms and other things laying about. I can get the farmers and some others to pick up wood and dried grass. Dont know how to light fires, find other food, or anything else. I need alot of help here and some ideas what do I do next to take care of them, or get them to care for themselves. This is my second try...I killed them all off the first try out. I am so lost here and if there is somewhere to go to get some insight on how to do this, it would be very helpful.
