I too was shocked when I saw it. BFG is trying to look like its major competitor when it comes to design. This new look is much the same look is very similar in layout and I don't particularly care for it.
Alas there have been many changes over the past two years and none of them have made it easier for members, IMHO. I liked the more subtle and cleaner look of the previous home page and game pages. But I guess the programmers would be out of a job if they couldn't keep coming up with changes. Oh, but maybe they should put this same kind of effort into game testing and proofreading before games are released to the marketplace.

I was a bit surprised by the new look, but I think I will like once I get used to it.
Was wondering where game forum link was, but I found it. It is there on top
right..."get game tips"

The background is in the middle of the window, all pictures and buttons so far on the right side, that I can't see or reach them.
And it was hard work to find the forum :-(
Sorry, but when BFG don't want to work with my computer, I don't want to buy games there.

I have firefox and it's the same for me, SNEIT. My resolution is 1920x1080.
The middle of the window is a big, black square. I sent a Dr. Felix to BF and will see what they say. I don't like this change one bit. What the heck was wrong with the old one? IMO: you don't fix what isn't broken. sigh I hope there's a fix or I'll have to find a new game site.

Hi guys,
That's only because one poster on page 2 put in a long row of ............ so it all stretched. Now we're on page 3 it's back to normal.

I like the new format fine. The link to the forums is really hard to see. I didn't notice it up the in the corner until I read kat1117's post here. I agree with everyone who said this makes it looks like they're going to get rid of the forums. I may not come here often anymore, but I still like to read the reviews and comments for some of the games.

I can't remember the last time I have written any comment on any thread. I had to find somewhere to express my displeasure with the new lay-out. Can't stand it. Looks like the other game sites. Very disappointed to see no link from the game page directly to the game forum. The forum to allow general comments about games and tech issues was important to me to directly check out. Perhaps this is another small step towards eliminating the forums altogether? Unfortunately, that is what made BFG unique. I am not a contributor to the forums, but checking out others tech problems, hints when I get stuck in games, etc. is important to me. And that means easy access to those forums from the actual game page.
My question to Big Fish: If you don't stand out from your competitor, what makes you different enough that I should choose to buy from you as opposed to them?

The only good thing is the larger print and pictures. I don't care for the scrolling and general layout.

I, too, want to know why BF has made it so hard to access the forum for each game. And there was no notice of the change or and explanation of the reasons why the changes were made. This is poor customer relations in my book and no way to make friends and keep loyal members. Please explain!

Hi Sniet,
Ich deaktiviert Adblock Plus und dann Firefox für mich gearbeitet.
Hoffe, es hleps?
Try using Firefox again, but with Adblock Plus or AdBlock disabled (behindert).
Hallo swedane,
Danke für die Hilfe in Deutsch :-) Funktioniert aber leider auch nicht.
Hi swedane,
thx for help in german :-) I even tried to disable ALL plugins, but it dosn't help.
I'm running the plugin Sidebar (if uninstalled same problems) and this is at the left side of the browser. When I open sidebar, aktive window gets smaler and background and rest of the side are going more together (don't know how to explain better). So I made the sidebar greater and greater and background and rest of the page came nearer and nearer. When sidebar takes 75% of the screen, I get a scrollbar for the rest of the side and only then I can reach all of the BFG-side, get the buttons for downloading or the link to forum (but I have to scroll for each centimeter). It looks like ... like ... like running a 3D-Film on TV without using 3D-Shuttle: Two different pictures.
Here in the forum all works fine with fullscreen, but no chance for me opening a side of any game.
It looks, as if there are two frames not working overlayed but near by near and only when the window is verry verry smal, this two frames are forced to look like one frame.
I wrote to mr. bigfish with dr. felix-zip, hoping they can help

You must have found it by accident as you're here posting.
It's that little grey link at the top right of the page that says "Get Game Tips".
No, I used the "back door" from the game forum page. Thanks I see it now. Not very easy to spot.

I mean no disrespect to anyone or their opinions here, but I just wonder why we should feel entitled to be given explanations or reasons by this company (or any company) of impending changes they wish to make to their layout.
We are not shareholders in this company. We are merely customers who choose to buy their games and have the privilege of having (and having had) forums in which we can chat. Those of us who have done so here over the years are a teeny tiny minority of the hundreds of thousands of BFG customers who never post.
I have thought for a while that the old layout was dated and it's been like that ever since I can remember. I'm glad they finally decided to update the tired old site. In this day and age where everything is so driven by websites, you can't afford to fall behind your competition.
Of course most of us don't like change, especially when it's sprung on us, but I guarantee that in a few days' time everyone will be used to it and most will probably see it as a step in the right direction.
For everyone having problems with Firefox - have you got the latest updates? Only two days ago Firefox asked me to update and I let it run. I can see the new layouts (in all games) without any problem at all.
... swims off her soap box now....

Hi everyone!
Thank you for your feedback about the changes to the game pages! I must admit that after the changes were implemented, it took me a little bit to find how to get to the Forums from the game pages, but for anyone that still needs help with that, there should be a "Get game tips" button on the top right corner of each game page to get to that particular game forum.
There was a significant amount of research and time spent on coming up with these changes, and of course, we always try to take in account what we think the majority of customers would like to see.
We appreciate that you're taking the time to provide your experience and feelings about the new changes, and that you're also being constructive in your feedback so far in this thread. We will definitely forward this thread to the site development team as they welcome all feedback about changes that have been made to the site.
If you have any other questions, please PM me or one of the other moderators.
Happy gaming!

I happen to like it! Yes, it took a bit of looking to locate the icon link to get to the game forums. But now that I know it's there, no problem.
Here is what I really like about it. I use my iPad for most everything Internet related (plus many other things). Before the change, not all of the preview scenes would show up. The rated reviews seldom if ever showed up. (I guess the better word to use here would be load). I never had the option to view the video trailer of the game.
Now I see everything exactly if I were on my PC!
All of the graphics are loading. I can view the Rated reviews and I can actually play the video. bfgGlithui, you can tell the development team that there is one here who is Thrilled with the changes!

I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I like the new format But I do have one suggestion: many of us in the forum had trouble finding the link to get here. I had to go to "another site" to find out where it was. I thought BF had gotten rid of the forums all together and was really disappointed. But thanks to feedback on "another site" some of us have found our way here. Maybe if our comments are going to be reviewed...you could make that link larger or put it somewhere else so it's easier to find.
