I did too, which I almost never do unless I have a credit. The story is right up my alley, and the game is actually FUN, unlike some that are more like cramming for Ph.D. oral comps.

I just finished this game and loved it, I even left the music turned up - normally I turn it off. Graphics were great and the puzzles were relatively easy but I enjoyed the flow of the storyline, certainly wouldn't compare it to RTR Nice fun HOG, hope we see more of them

i love the game i finished the intro last night after i downloaded but this thread was not up yet i was just getting ready to start the first book it took me 42 minutes to finish the intro. did i say i love this game. i love edgar allan poe stories, poems so this was an excellent choice for a hog. again the only thing i really didn't like was that there were no voices i think if they would have voice overs for the story that would have really made it even more enjoyable than it already is. of course i bought it as soon as i finished my demo. and if this is the first in the series i can't wait for the others to come out and i mean come out now literally can't wait.

oh and by the way did i say i loved this game

I just finished the game.

I love the graphics and the story but was left disappointed that there was no challenge in the puzzles/ minigames and the interactive object use.
It basically turned out to be one hidden object screen after the other. If there was some difficulty of play and interesting puzzles this game could have been a great game.

I liked it but was getting bored towards the end and just wanted it to end to find out what happened.

I would give the game excellent marks for visual production and storyline.
Gameplay average marks.

I noticed when exiting the game it says something like "There is still time to solve the mystery and save Edgar Allen Poe from being lost forever" (or something like that, and there's a watch with a count-down looking graphic that does look like it's running out each time I exit. Did it say anything about that when you finished? I want to avoid a spoiler but I'm guess I'm asking is there an over-all timer that if it runs out one can "fail" the game?

Poodle, I don't have a certain answer but I figure that is just a "virtual" timer. You have 24 hours to solve but you can play 50 hours if that is what it takes. Just MO. I have seen the same sort of thing in other games. Didn't we get the idea that we only had a certain amount of time to finish RTR and save the women and children? Did time run out? Not for me and I am slow, I like to enjoy a game not rush through it.

Yes I think that is just there for effect.

I took my time playing and went away leaving it on screen and did other things many a time but there was never an impression of running out of time.

There is one puzzle that comes up with a timer but I don't think even that is taken into account as I took no notice of it and casually finished the puzzle.

So- no, there is no overall timer to finish the game- you finish it at your leisure

Overall, the graphics were nicely done and I liked the story line, but it was boring. Essentially, just find hidden objects; I was expecting some quirky assemble items or challenging mini-games, but none. Nevermore, nevermore.

What screen resolution are you using? You might want to try a larger resolution. If that doesn't work, use the green envelope on the right side of this page to contact customer support.

Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Not as good as RTR (nothing can beat that game) (in my opinion). Still hope more will follow. Found the **** easy to find, but loved the genre. I like spooky!!!!!!!!!

I also found this game boring. No reall challenges for ex. in the puzzles/minigames. Just finding hidden objects is frustating. Happy gaming

I just finished! I enjoyed this game all the way through. it is, I think, a good size game, not too short, not too long. In fact, at the end of the mystery of Marie Roget, had the game ended I would not have felt cheated. I did have some trouble finding bugs in "The Gold Bug" (ewww!). I had to laugh though because almost every time I used a Hint I thought, "What a dummy! That was so obvious!"

I found the game enjoyable with an occasional challenge for me. The minis did not seem needed and looked as though they had been added at the last minute when someone sais that they had to have some. They were not difficult. The graphics were excellent! The objects were very well hidden "in plain sight". The Hints were generous and I never ran out. Don't worry if you use them all, you will soon get another even if you can't find a Raven. I will play this again.

Just finished. Not quite what I'd expected, but I did thoroughly enjoy it nonetheless. I was expecting a longer gameplay, more mysteries to solve, more more more. Maybe a bit more adventure, too. However, the graphics were really good. Not many puzzles though, and those were EASY. So easy that I never had to put any thought into them. I enjoyed the storyline, and the graveyard scenes were fun. If are a Sleepy Hollow game fan, I think should enjoy this one too.
