I'm invited, so will be suprised:
on 24th December:
with the large family of dear SIL;
( his brother is a professional and prepares
always the most exquisite dishes. He also did 11 1/2 years ago the
whole catering for DD's and SIL's wedding, which had as theme on
the Menu-cards, decorating, etc.: 'movies and Marilynj Monroe'.
Even the wedding-cake was an inside cinema-theatre with screen,
seats, cameras, etc.).
So it will be good again.
On 25th:
with the entire family of my close English friends for a tradional
EnglishChristmas supper/dinner with turkey; sprouts; carrots,
sweet + normal patatos, cheeses etc,; etc....... and of course the
PLUMPUDDING !!
On 26th (is here also an official holiday):
proberly at DS's, when at least he has the children this year's
Christmas, last year the 2 girls were with their mother and her
family. But all depends on their yearly agreements.
Enjoy your meals too !

Whatever my mother fixes us. Used to be, when I was growning up, we'd spend the day just snacking on whatever we wanted.

Starter:
Celery, carrot sticks, radish, olives, cheese on crackers, cut pineapple, apples, oranges, cherries, deviled eggs, dipping sauce.
Main
Candied ham. I candy with brown sugar, pineapple and pineapple juice. Cherries and cherry juice.
25 pound Turkey.
Corn Bread Stuffing.
Mashed Potatoes.
Giblet Gravy.
Fresh Cranberries and cranberry sauce.
Corn on the cob.
Broccoli covered in cheese sauce.

Dessert:
Pumpkin Pie.

Pecan Pie.
Plus there is tons of homemade candy, fudge, brownies, and cookies I make at Christmas for everyone to gnaw on. I make so much the year we moved here and didn't know anyone to pass it out too other than the guys at my husbands work. It lasted us almost till the next Christmas. I go a little crazy...
For New Years:
Cornbread, ham and black eyed peas.
{One year my granddaughter told my daughter she didn't want to go to my house for New Years. Her mother said why? She said Grandma and Grandpa are so poor they have to eat those yucky peas just to get money! I just about died laughing.}

There's just me and hubby. He wants to go out to eat for Thanksgiving. Christmastime, I don't know what will happen.
