I am very torn between Alex Cross and Alex Delaware. Just love both of those books, probably Alex Cross slightly ahead. I hear Morgan Freeman's voice in every book as I read it. James Patterson is such a genius writing those books and his non-series ones too and Women's Murder Club.

But if I wanted a totally crazy day, give me a day with Stephanie Plum, I would love a meal with Grandma Mazur and Lula, and Joe and Ranger and maybe even Diesel! And take a ride in that big ol' car to visit the funeral home with Grandma!

Miss Jane Marple or Iorek Byrnison, the Bear King from His Dark Materials.

Miss Jane because I love super smart, straight speaking women who enjoy a good tea. Iorek Byrnison because he's a fricken' BEAR KING and you can ride on his back. Duh.

Well , I hope you all are happy!
Just pleased as punch with yourselves!
Not only did I break down and buy a book credit I bought 3!
I never do that! Pay $3.00 for a book , no way! I wait till I have a few orders and when the credits are piled up I get my freebies. Your characters sounded so good I couldn't wait for swap outs!

I would love to be "Mrs. Miniver", which was a book written in 1939 at the onset of WWII in Britain and made into a film in, I think 1942, starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon. She epitomized a true woman..one who could face life with courage and dignity. Based on a true story, the film is also one of my all time favorites. Of course I LOVE any film starring Greer Garson...and Walter Pidgeon..well, he could be my "Mr. Miniver" any day!!! (Definitely showing my age here)...LOL!

Luv and hugs...Abs

Haven't been in the forums for quite a long while...but hi all you fishies! Hope one or two of you remember me!

I would like to hang out with Richard Jury and Melrose Plant of the Martha Grimes series of books about a detective in Scotland Yard (Jury) and his titled friend. They seem to have a good deal of fun together. I'd like to be Jury's upstairs neighbor Carole Anne, not only because he is very protective of her but to know what happened when she was young.
Phat-I love the Cat Who books.

I'm with you on that one. I love the Richard Jury series. I would mostly want to hang out with Melrose...he always cracks me up and I'd want to hang around while he tormented Agatha!

Yeh. And, under no circumstances, go to an Italian restaurant with him. If you do, when he goes to the men's room, leave.

OMG--did you read the one where they came to Baltimore? That sergeant found out he had a lineage in the peerage. And I love the scenes in the local tavern. And Ruthven. the butler. Do you also read Anne Perry? She writes in a similar vein but her characters, Thomas and Charlotte Pitt, are based in the Victorian era. Very good books also.

Any of my fictional characters that lived in the 1880-1900. Their life was hard, but also so fulfilling as they carved out the western part of our country. (US)

Severus Snape. He is a fantastically well-written character and reminds me of one of my favorite college profs who nearly everyone else hated. Shout out to Dr. Sujak wherever you are!

agree with lilgirl such an incredible series

I'd also love to meet the Walsh family, from Marian Keyes' books. They're such a hoot!

I'm always torn when a question like this comes up & I can never decide btwn my top 3 fav fictional people of all time.

#1 - Scarlett O'Hara (Gone With the Wind) - love to be a spoilt brat for a day!

#2 - Amber St Clare (Forever Amber) - who wouldn't want to live during the Restoration & become the mistress of Charles II?

#3 - Claire Fraser (Outlander series) - time-travel thru ancient standing stones & a hubby in a kilt, you can't go wrong

Of course, there's the runner-up, Jack Reacher (from the Lee Child books)....might be fun to be a 6'4" killing machine chick magnet

For those of you who don't know, he is a gentle monk, healer and herbalist from Shrewsbury, UK. Living in the middle ages, at the time of the Stephen and Matilda civil war, he has an 'interesting' past, and is a dab hand at sleuthing and solving murders.

(Now that would make a good HOG, no DNA, fingerprints, photos etc as evidence, and making herbal cures as mini games.

It's OK Mr Picman, no need to pay me royalties - just get the game! )

I thought Cadfael was a little minnow swimming in a big pond Seriously, I love those books too.

I would like to meet Gandalf.

Tyler Durden from Fight Club. I think that would make for a lot of amusement.

Mhh. let me think..

at first Ms. Marple, then the great Sherlock, Columbo (off-key but brilliant), Angela Lansbury and finally Captain Jean-Luc Picard or at least Commander Deanna Troi.

Seeing Joe would be good, but I really, really wanna see the BatCave and Ranger!
Keeping count of how many cars she blows up and MerryMen she puts out of commission or tases would keep me pretty busy too.

Now THAT would be a fun-filled day.

I'd love to hang out with Anita from the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. She gets to hang out with all kinds of supernaturals and I'd love to see what all her men look like
