Hi folks,

Things are getting very heated here, so I'm popping in to remind everybody to please be respectful when discussing topics on our forums. We find all feedback, both negative and positive, to be helpful but please express your opinions in a way that are not putting other users' feelings at risk.

There is some in-game content in the Collector's Edition of Dire Grove that is not included in the standalone edition. This is because the Collector's edition offers achievements and badges as well as hidden levels that require some differences in-game in order to achieve them. Items/actions whose only functions are to unlock additional content or earn badges, such as morphing objects, the bag of chips and the rabbit head, are not included in the standalone edition since they would serve no purpose in this version.

We can assure you that any part of the game that effects the outcome of the game or the story has not been changed between the Collector's Edition and the standalone version of the game. Anything important to the progression of the game has not been removed and the storyline is exactly the same in both versions. Those that do decide that they're interested in playing with the additional content are welcome to contact our Customer Support team for more information on how to do this.

We posted an FAQ about the Collector's Edition in the Collector's Edition forum - you can read about the differences between the two games by clicking here. As mentioned by Mr_Russ, LizzieK has also posted about the differences between the two games here.

As for confusion about the walkthrough, it does have a disclaimer at the beginning. However, we are hearing your concerns about the CE content not being specifically marked within the walkthrough and we'll be looking into this.

Hopefully this clears some confusion!

Great news!

For those feeling a little lost using the walkthrough for the Collector's Edition of Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, we now have a walkthrough available for the standard version of the game.

Happy gaming, everyone!

I purchased this game also and can not get the rabbit head or the hidden object game with the chips. If you can't finish the game without these items, why is this game being sold as a full game instead of a trial?

Hi Andycjw50! Welcome to the pond!! Please read the previous posts in this thread. There you will see that there are two versions of this game. The Collector's Edition includes bonus content (such as the rabbit's head and the potato chips) that are not included in the standard edition. The lack of bonus content does not alter your ability to play or complete the standard edition (which is a full game and not a trial). Just make sure you are reading the walkthrough for the standard edition of the game and there should be no confusing info about bonus content. Happy gaming!
