The acorns on the bench: I could not make them stick, so I played around with them
and I found out that if you gently and very SLOWLY run the acorn along the bench, a "ghost-like" shadow of the acorn appears. You have to hold it next to the shadow and then release the acorn. If it doesn't stick in that one spot, just keep trying until you find the right "ghost-like shadow". Just remember that you have to place it alongside the shadow and then release it. This same thing happens with the busts that go on the mantle. My dilemma now is that I cannot get the letters to stick to the filing cabinet.

Q: I did have one problem with another special game, the newspaper word find - there was no 'submit' button - only 'clear'!
A: You get the submit button whenever you have completed a correct word.
Ah! Thanks!

I loved Dr. Lynch: Grave Secrets and would recommend it highly.
In the genre of the Agatha Christies and Women's Murder Club, the game's elegant execution includes a tightly interwoven and interesting storyline, beautiful graphics, perfect music, and logically appropriate items.
The small and carefully hidden items, sophisticated optional hint-earning tasks and timer raise the level of game play challenge from that of a Mystery P.I.-type HOG without resorting to incorporating the adventure-type elements of a Hidden Expedition: Amazon, Samantha Swift or Veronica Rivers.
Any HOG purist who's looking for a challenge will enjoy this game greatly.

you are probably looking for the "L" - It's in the upper valance of the left set of drapes

I agree with Sillyfeet in that I LOVE this game! It's so much like some of my other favourite HO games (Agatha Christie series) - I guess though it was done by the same people so that probably explains the similarity!
Some of the items were hideously difficult to find, and trying to put certain things in the right place (acorns on the seat for example) was difficult, but I can't say that it bothered me all that much.
It's the graphics & music in these games that suck me in - the music is a nice background sound without being overbearing & the graphics are just so beautiful. I think that's what suckered me in to the Agatha Christie series. Some of HO games (of which I love nearly all!) have 'chunky' or 'blurred' graphics IMO, but the guys that make these games seem to put a heck of a lot of work into it. Everything is crystal clear (not easy to find, but still crystal clear graphics!) and really sets the scene.
Overall, I really enjoyed Dr Lynch & will play it again. Now, if only they would make more Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot games I'll be in heaven!
