subgeniuschick - Exactly the same experience I had. Haven't received a word from the Tech team. Very disappointed. I wanted to do the Winter Challenge! :-(

Mine runs, so I suppose I'm fortunate.... The problem is, Whenever I visit either Webster, or Lady Tay, the game crashes and I have to start over. I'm trying to avoid them for now but sometimes click when island surfing. Also when I visit some of the suggested sites, of those not on friends, it crashes. Very frustrating. I'm on Windows 10. This started with last update.

It's gotten bad enough on the freezing issue as to freeze up when you start up the game, so there are some of us not being able to play anything, anywhere, at all.

And I'm also one who spent $$ on this. Swore after Farm Up not to spend but did anyway. Should know better by now.

It's terribly rude not to at least respond and let people know they're aware of issues and are working on them.

Was quite looking forward to the Christmas event, since everywhere else you turn, the after election junk is going on. I'm thinking about opening a dispute myself, if this doesn't get fixed soon.

can not get into the game since the Christmas update. was in the market and clicked on baskets to collect sales and out I went. Game will not finish loading. My desktop is Windows 7. reinstalled game and still will not finish loading. this is truly frustrating! It is not my computer, other games work fine. There is obviously something wrong in the latest update. So if anyone sees this and is friends with me my game name is HannahAnn.

Ok, I installed the update with no problem - would like to mention that for people with vertigo (ME!) it's very difficult to watch while you move from one section to the other. Dramamine time!
Anyway, update installed, have been playing since with only one mentioned problem - can't get to some people's Islands. One unmentioned - at least at this time - is I have one of my Friends who has been requesting help since about 5:30am EST, but when I click on it, I get booted - just like above problem. So I can't clear the request for help, which is very annoying.
More annoying is that I was just playing and all of a sudden my Market went blank. I left the game and went to go back in, but now can't get back in. It shows me the Big Fish screen, the Bodlat screen, then the new Winter screen with everyone decorating the tree. It runs through everything like Checking for Updates, Fetching and all that, gets to where the Status Bar is about 2/3 of the way over - you know, where it pauses - but it gets stuck there and won't let me in!!! And when I close it (whether with right-clicking on bottom task bar or using Task Manager), I get a Crash Report.
Any suggestions? This is really annoying!!

I also have issues since the Christmas event update. Most of the names in my list of helped/ help have turned into weird code such as triangles,dots and odd shapes. Access to one of my friends has been stopped, as, when I try to visit, the games locks/freezes on the loading screen and I have to go to windows, right click the Sunken Secrets task bar icon and close. I have uninstalled, closed the PC and reinstalled. Nothing changed. I don't answer the life preserver calls for help unless I am prepared to accept a freeze and restart as most of those fail. The game is now adding more friends that I cannot visit, so I am guessing eventually I will lose the whole list and will not be able to trade/ visit without the game freezing!! I don't get an error report just frozen out of the game until I close from the task bar. Back to playing the Sims 4

LadyBastet, honestly, since this does most definitely seem like a problem on their end, and not our comps, any suggestions would likely just get confusing in the long run.

Hopefully, these issues have been sent to the dev team for the game, or their tech peeps, or whomever. Considering how many of us have posted and shown the crash reports. And one by one, people aren't even able to log back in to play.

It would just be nice to get *some* sort of acknowledgement that they ARE aware and working on it.

Soon, no one will be able to get in at all, and there have been many people paying a good amount of cash for pearls, etc. We're losing big time the longer it goes on. Plus, we're losing the fun of the Christmas activities. They should extend it and issue out some decent compensations.

Still cannot access the game and I hate that I'm missing out on yet another special event because of tech issues.

I've sent reports, complete with the Dr Felix thing, but have yet to hear anything from the support team.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else's ID changed?

It started out that just one of my friends caused the game to freeze on the "transfer screen" I get when I go from one island to another. Now, today, a second one is causing it to freeze. Additionally, when I go to help most players it'll freeze there too. My "players I've helped" screen is also adding strange characters to names or changing them entirely. I'm using Windows 10.

I too cannot open SS, which just occured today (yesterday I was able to play). Surely the tech team is focusing on repairing the issues rather than read so many mean comments that do not change LIFE. We all know in life things happen. Thank goodness that the problem is with a game and not something more serious such as a grandchild with cancer. Maybe game stopped working for some of us as a sign for us to do something else besides play games. I am bad about playing too much. Perhaps I will do something else that I have not done in awhile. Cheers to all!

I can open it still and I can go to the top "friend" James. If you do manage to go to another page, or attempt to, you'll crash. Meaning any of your coins you spend and anything you've bought disappear. I went to James's page and bought some cloth. It was only 1/2 of what I needed so I went home, gave it to the village person and tried my luck at another "friend" page and froze up. Had to use Task Manager to kill SunkenSecrets.exe, no crash message, just frozen. Went back in and of course, money gone, no cloth given to villager and can't go to any "friends".

I've shut it down numerous times. I've restarted BFG. I've restarted my computer. I'm on Win 7 but it seems to happen to those on 10 as well. It's just a server side glitch in the game.

I turned 40 today and I had thought about buying pearls as a fun little gift to me. I never buy stuff for games but I'm truly glad I didn't waste the money. I'm considering deleting the game as it's just no longer worth the time I put into it. You play a game to relax. You don't play a game to get what is essentially the Sunken Secrets BSOD, three key and start again.

I am not an unreasonable person. Even if I had received a reply aside the canned responses, I wouldn't be posting w/ such a negative tone. Also, if I hadn't of paid money for pearls, I probably wouldn't care.

But I haven't and I did, so now I'm annoyed. Annoyed enough to start a charge dispute w/ my credit card company.

I'm moving on now. There is quite obviously an issue w/ the update that is affecting a number of players. But I guess not enough people are affected to bother to make an official statement. Seems like the "support team" is going to just ride it through until the Holiday event is over, so that's not a mindset I am willing to continue to support.

Hope the Dev Team gets it together. 10/10 for concept. 2/10 on execution.

I totally agree with Swamprat2. I've made an official tech issues report several days ago, right after the update. NO RESPONSE. I can't go to several of my friends without crashing. I do enjoy the Christmas "event", but they need to make the rest of the game work. Or at least acknowledge that they are working on it. As it is, it sucks!
