How do you build path?

Watching granddaughter struggle with this. It looks like a darker colored square is highlighted, but her blocks for the path won't go where she wants them. How do you connect the path pieces? She is at the "I'll do it myself Nana " stage...but closer to tears each time she tries and fails. Any path builders out there? thanks

Put the shadow of the block where you want the path to be - click then.

I'm so sorry to hear that there is some trouble getting the path pieces in this particular game to connect. I definitely know what it is like to get stuck in a game.

goeash is right! When clicking on the stone icon, the green square that is highlighted will be where the stone will be placed. Just be sure to try and click on the green square that is next to the already made path.

Thank you for the help. This Nana now has a very happy little path builder. Had to use a little "what if" you do this with some silliness thrown in and then gently could lead her to "doing it herself".
