Youda Legend

Okay, I am guessing that this is the great HOG we heard about, so I am DLing now. Almost done, and eager to try it. I hope it lives up to the description...

Me too!
I don't see any mention of mini games though - looks like it might be a straight forward HOG!

ANY, and I do mean ANY HOG at this point is worth my time. And the screen shot showed a jigsaw puzzle to put together, so probably they throw in at least that much in the way of minigames.

What a waste of time. I played about 5 minutes, and I couldn't delete it fast enough. I couldn't take the music another minute. What a let down.

I played 12 minutes. The jigsaw is a really easy torn photograph, where the pieces are in the correct orientation (so you don't have to turn them). Items in a scene are not always appropriate sizes. Some of the items in the second scene were quite tricky. I'll save the rest of my minutes until after my new glasses arrive (I shouldn't be doing HOGs right now, because it causes eyestrain much too quickly).

I haven't played enough yet to comment on the game itself, but I like the music.

Boring game- I think I would rather play Hardy Boys.

Well, maybe I'm just less discriminating with my games, but I think this game is MUCH better than the Hardy Boys. And am I the only one who finds it refreshing that the game is set in Amsterdam rather than some other locale that we have already seen many times over in games? I'm kind of tempted to buy the game for that latter reason alone, as I like getting to "see" Amsterdam.

Sure, it looks like it's pretty much a straight HOG, but for what it is, I think it's a very nice game. Also, it doesn't feel slapped together like some of the HOGs I have played lately, and the items aren't blurry either. So, all in all, I like it.

I would be interested to know how long the game is, though.

I am enjoying it. Bought it before the hour was up. It is pretty simple so far. It has some easy minis. If you don't like the music, you can go to options and turn it off.

Some objects are outlandishly large, some are reasonably sized. There might be a small object or two though I don't recall any. What is small are the diamonds you need to collect to charge the Hint system. I was still able to find most or all of the diamonds.

I am finding it interesting. Some objects go in inventory to be used in mini games later. it may get more difficult as it goes (I hope). Amsterdam locations are nice. I enjoy virtual tours of places I will never see. I like this better than the last two HOGs which bored me early on and did not improve. After nearly an hour I am still interested.

No Timer. Renewing Hints that don't take too long. I actually used some Hints when i thought i was looking for tiny items only to be surprised by normal sized or large items! There are some dark spots with items hidden in them. I usually click in dark places to find things hidden there. If you click too much, the curser will go in circles for a second or two. I may have more to say when I get further along but for now I am enjoying this game.

Oh, BTW, I almost quit on the first scene when I saw all the giant objects. I am glad I moved on though there still are a few really big items. Sometimes the largest things are the hardest to find because they are so unexpected.

Thank you, bribling. I was starting to feel like the lone wolf crying in the wilderness....

Night, all. I'll be back bright and early tomorrow morning to read more notes in this thread. Have fun, everyone.

I actually liked the music! Items not too hard to find, no timer, evidently plenty of hints, though I didn't need any. The minigames were very easy, which was disappointing, but the storyline is interesting and kind of creepy. I enjoyed the Amsterdam scenes, too. Somewhere a little further along I suppose there will be a use for the inventory items, but as far as I got, I didn't need them. I'll sleep on it, and decide whether or not to buy, LOL.

Jury's still out on this one. Fairly simple so far - I stopped at the flower shop ('cause I knew the sums would eat into my hour) - to see what everyone else had to say! If I knew how long it was I might be tempted to buy. Suffering from HOG deprivation!

Is this game slow as molasses for anyone else?

Yup! I seem to be clicking a lot faster than I'm picking up. Objects are queued up!

I was not impressed -- it certainly isn't a great game, just an okay basic HOG.

I didn't like the slow reaction time when clicking on items. I wasn't sure if I had clicked on the right thing until I noticed that the description lit up. But I had clicked on 5 items by the time the first one disappeared. It also took a long time to transition from one scene to another.

It's not terrible, just not what interests me, which is to stimulate my brain.

I thnk it is disappointing when we have been waiting for this great new hidden object game. Turns out it is like many others.

This to me IS a typical $6.99 game- there will be a market for it but nothing special. $6.99 remarkable first off games like Treasure Seekers I suppose are rare and becoming even rarer as pricing for games plummett. I would rather pay more for a higher quality game.
