All Pets / Tells / Favorite Locations (Seasonal/Regular/Achievement/Exclusive (Level 69) Pets)

Hi everyone,

Many of us believe that our pets do have "Tells" (a certain movement that a pet has and if we feed it in this particular moment will bring gold chest) and "Favorite Locations" (pets prefer some locations more than others and will bring there more often gold chest) as well as some pets are better than others.
So if you are a "believer", for me (after a lot of tests, time and effort) and for many others, as I'm informed, these are the best pets in order of preference (ranking from the best pet to the worst) their "tells" and their favorite locations (listed from the oldest to the newest location).
Please keep in mind that tells & locations of the Regular Pets have not been tested, it's just info gathered through the forum.

The update (on Sep 19, 2017) included a new aspect of the game. Pets in our inventory now indicate which reward chests they drop, as well as their drop rates (in the inventory, in the "Pets" tab, click on any pet, it will show what type of chests it gives, and then mouse over each chest, which will show the drop rates)
Some pets are better than others and have different drop rates for each type of chest. Also, the update (on Mar 22, 2018) included a new aspect of the game. The Seasonal Pets in our inventory now have an icon indicating which event they are from (Xmas, Spring or Fall)
All the Pets and what type of chests they give, as well as their drop rates for each type of chest are listed in the thread (under the 🌟 Tells & 🥇 Pets / Chests / Drop Rates lists, ranging from the best pet to the worst)

The Seasonal pets are the best choice for gold chests, so far, most pets brought back gold chests and the Exclusive pets brought back crystal and gold chests many times at their favorite locations when their "tells" used.
For best results, in order to catch the "tell" you must feed your pets at the exact moment for your game.
Feed your pets when you do the round in the Castle, never feed all the pets at once, if you need / want to feed more than three pets, play some HOSs between feedings.
Never feed a pet in the same location twice in a row, and don't hesitate to use the pets when you open new locations.
Pets, your adorable assistants will bring you 5 different types of chests:

Wood.....................Gives 3 Items / 50 Coins per stack
Rusty / Iron...........Gives 4 Items / 100 Coins per stack
Silver.....................Gives 5 Items / 200 Coins per stack
Gold.......................Gives 6 Items / 400 Coins per stack
Crystal / Blue........Gives 10 Items / 200 Coins per stack (so far, only from the Exclusive (Level 69) Pets, it also includes Airship Items)

Also, pet chests now give HOS and ZZ items, so players who have Prof. Pinfeathers (Crow) quests open and they do not have the quest items needed in their inventory, feeding pets will bring you back the following:

Wood ..............Gives up to 1 Item (max value of each item - 15 Coins)
Rusty / Iron.....Gives up to 2 Items (max value of each item - 30 Coins)
Silver ..............Gives up to 3 Items (max value of each item - 50 Coins)
Gold.................Gives up to 4 Items (max value of each item -100 Coins)
Crystal / Blue....Gives up to 5 Items (???)

I received gold when the donkey wiggled his left ear (on your right). I don't recall the location.

Here is an added favorite location for the Butterfly: Underground Grotto. I've received a gold chest every time!

Sorry, messed that up. At any rate, I agree the Christmas and Spring pets have been the best for me as well, particularly the butterfly which always brings gold chest with at least 2,000 coin plus diamonds and stamps.

I loved the Reindeer who never gave me anything but Gold, no matter what location. But sadly, my Christmas pets no longer do so well and have brought many Rusty Chests since the Spring Pets arrived. Hands down, my favorite is the Butterfly, who brings Gold. My Jack-in-the-box is a dud. 18 Wooden, 2 gold. I've tried him many places (and many "tells") and the location seems to make no difference, as he got gold at the new Tower, and when I took him back a few days later...you guessed it...Wooden. Of the regular pets, my best luck right now is with the Turtle.

Been missing something, where do I get the butterfly pet? I've looked on the crafting list , and can't find it !!

You get her by crafting the Spring Wreaths. She is an "achievement award".

I'm sorry No Fish Today that Christmas pets and the"tell" for Jack didn't work for you......I just feed all the pets and it works perfectly for me... they all brought back gold chests ...except the yeti... who brought silver.

I agree that if Jack don't bring gold sometimes will bring wooden but not often......maybe you should give him another chance.

As for the new location(Dark Tower Gates).....I was amazed when all the pets brought back gold chests.

i don't have many pets yet, and none of the christmas or spring ones. are there any tells for the early pets, eg: snow griffin, winged cat, emerald dragon, hopping tiger (just got that one)?

Hi Janet You'll be lucky to get much more than a wooden or rusty chest from the Griffon or Cat, so don't bother with those. The Dragon and especially the Tiger are always good to me. I can't remember the Dragon as I don't use him now that I have pets that eat less but the Tiger for me is always good when he raises his paw I think it is (senior moment!). I get better results if I feed my pets in a different location each time.

As FudgeChi said...I don't use the oldest pets,now that we have Christmas and Spring pets that eat less.....so no 'Tells"for them......but I can help with the items you need to hatch the Spring pets,they don't need eggs......PM me if you want.

So in summary it seems you just watch the pets and send them off at the distinctive feature of their animation.

I am using the pets that eat less and I don't see a lot of advantage to using those that each more--you don't seem to get more stuff or more gold chests with the big eaters.

My older pets that need more food have surely starved by now. I can't remember the last time that I fed them.
