help can't find gardener

so i found a walkthrough online that says i need to find the gardener and get something from him (after exhausting all topics and putting the signage for plants and checking out the calendar). can't find him now

I am having the same problem.... can not find gardner. He is no longer at the Herb Garden. An online strat. guide says he should be fishing but I can not find him anywhere.

I have walked back and forth as far as I can go in either direction from the flag pole and he isn't there. I have left the herb garden, gone elsewhere on the map and come back, still no gardner.... I have exited the game and came back...Nope... still not there>>>

any suggestions?

ok I finally got the gardner to show up... had to examine creaky floorboards first. I had been there before and examined all the other stuff in that area, but hadn't bothered with the floorboards.

Hope that helps anyone else looking for the gardner... Now if I can just fish that **&*%* crowbar out LOL

i still can't find the gardener fishing. tried many times leaving and going back, returning to examine the creaking floorboards, letting them creak again, when it didn't produce the fishing gardener without letting them creak first... already found the watch and the crowbar should be the next step, but no gardener. Returned to Carol's a bit earlier and put water on the basil and opened the frigbut couldn't find anything else to do there then, so went back to guide; maybe should not have done these things, but glass was there again next time after metal detector, key, watch, no gardener, etc. Was trying to work through without a guide; hope that isn't what has me stuck now! Went back and deleted several of the last save points and replayed, still no fishing gardener; just plain fishy and very aggravating!

i started over from the beginning and he ended up being where he was supposed to be the second time. No clue what was different. I wondered if I picked up the fishing pole too early the first time, but it doesn't seem like that would matter. Not so certain about this kind of game where I have to keep saving it myself... I was doing that, saving with descriptive phrases so I'd be able to recognize each point, but it seems like so much work after so many games that kept track of my progress for me.

I also had problems finding the gardner the first run through... don't know what I didn't do, or? But, I started again and finally found him.

But now I can't find the 'pylon' at the docks. Go figure, and no one has responded with a solution

I can get you started.....got forward 4 times from the beginning and turn left go forward (i think 4 times). you will have to do a bit of walking in this area. sorry, I did not write the solution down

I came to a dead end when I got close to the end of the game to go to the docks so I restarted the game now I can't find the gardener fishing when he is supposed to. Help!

Hi lilknome- welcome to the forums! If you cant find the gardner, you need to do something else beforehand. Do you have the metal detector? Have you called Solvig?

What items do you have in inventory and what locations are on the map?
