I think you have it the wrong way around. You need to find a broken brush and a wire and put the two together to make a brush.

The broken brush is on the ground floor of the burning house, in the cabinet that had the vase with water on it, and the wire is in the CD drive of the girl's laptop, and you need to find the password for the laptop to get it.

I have the feathers and the wire and I have created the brush. The problem I am having is that nothing happens when I try to use the brush to clear away the cobwebs. Anyone else have that problem? Kind of stuck until I can get that resolved. Thanks in advance for any help.
