Four circle lock pick

I can't get this and don't want to skip. I have it set the same as in the SG, but nothing
happens. What am I missing??
Help me please.

Did you pick up the gold pieces on the sides/top and fit them into the rings? (Those are the actual "lock picks", so what you're doing is setting up the "lock" correctly and then fitting the "picks" into the "holes". And yes, the instructions for that minigame are crappy... took me quite a while to figure out the gold patterns could actually be picked up.)

I never did figure it out. I finally gave up and skipped the puzzle. I agree that the instructions could have been much better and I'm disappointed in the devs for dropping the ball on this one.
